Paid 58 dollars for a babysitters course. They canceled half hour before the course start time. My daughter cannot make the reschedule date. Company will not return my moneyBusiness response

To Whom It May Concern:
The instructor was getting ready to go teach the course this morning and they vomited all over the floor. Her fiancé told her she couldn't teach, although she was determined to, and checked her temperature and she had a high fever as well. I am very sick as well and unable to teach and my 3rd instructor is away. As it was a last minute thing we did not have a chance to send the message out as quickly as I had hoped. I did send an email message at 8:18am and then proceeded to text every single parent personally, who had given me a phone number, to let them know as an extra step in respect for my clients. I very rarely have such a thing occur but I will not run a class and endanger people after the scare of COVID, nor even before COVID. My company and the ******** *** ***** teach prevention and obviously follow it. I make every client aware of this from the beginning with the registration email. I send the same email to every client for each course as a protective measure for our clients and for my company.
Below is an email I sent out to one of the clients who registered. As you will see I gave full disclosure of a no refund policy and also a chance for them to use the course fee at anytime within a year from the June 15, 2024 date. As I have not made up the schedule for 2025 the person does not know the dates to be able to decline them for next year.
I also gave them the option to give it to another young person. I accommodate in every way I can to make sure the clients receive what they paid for. At the end of the every email it also states "Once your course is paid for, you have agreed to all the terms in this email".
Please note that this person and a friend of theirs (Nick Belyea) both abused me, used intimidation towards me and degraded me by phone and text, as well as email. I could barely speak as I am quite sick but I tried to be kind and explain and they refused to listen but seemed quite inclined to abuse me. I called the police and they have a report of what I suffered with both of them. I was so upset about what they said to me and how they treated me, especially on the phone, that I made the call as I felt the abuse was unwarranted and cruel and I felt in danger. I have PTSD so this has been a painful and horrible experience.
As I said above, this is the email that EVERYONE gets for this course. I just copy and paste and change the names. Please note that as soon as I could this morning I sent off another email to the class apologizing once more for cancelling and gave them several dates to accommodate for another course as quickly as possible. I have all text messages and emails from these two men. The responses from other clients who had young people in the class were very understanding and kind and they appreciated all the effort we made and were grateful we didn't run the course with a sick instructor. I have been in business for 22 years and have a shining reputation. I am not use to such abuse from clients. I still would be happy to accommodate their young person into the class.

I have registered ----------- for the Babysitter Course on June 15, 2024. I do require prepayment. (Payment options listed below) The cost is $58.00 (including tax) each, which includes the ******** *** ***** Babysitter Manual, completion card, and gloves.
Please make sure you supply a contact phone number if not already done.
This course is for young people 12 and over to babysit and stay alone. This is of course at the discretion of the parents or caregivers. A young person can take this course at 11, but we have been told they should not be left alone or babysit until they are 12.
The parents or caregivers should send a lunch, snack, and drink with their child.
They need to bring a teddy bear or doll about the size of a small baby to the class. They will use this to practise putting on diapers and for their first aid skills.
As there can be participants with severe allergies to scents, we require a scent free environment so please refrain from any scents during the course.
We require full disclosure on any allergies, medical conditions or learning/reading issues for the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in this training.
Please note there is no refund policy. Refunds are NOT available. No exceptions. If KCM postpones or you have to postpone, your fee will be transferred to another course date. We will try to accommodate for another class as quickly as possible. We will make sure that participants will always get the course they have paid for. Fees can also be transferred to someone else if needed. You have one year from the date of the course to use the fee. Abusive language or treatment by text, phone or email will not be tolerated and will result in the forfeiture of your fee.
Administration Fees: If you cancel between the date of the course and up to 7 business days (Monday to Friday) before, you will be required to pay a $31 administration fee.

Parking for the day is located across the road from our facility from 9am-5pm and up next to the building from 6pm-10pm.
There is a bus stop within short walking distance if public transportation is required.
Outdoor shoes are not permitted. Please bring a pair of indoor shoes to be worn in the facility.
There is a refrigerator and microwave provided for your use.
