We purchased a vehicle from this establishment. We were told it was in excellent condition, just been inspected and had a fresh Oct 2022 MVI sticker on it. Day one of purchasing this vehicle we starting having problems with it. Contacted seller and was told excuses after excuses. As we continued to find new issues with vehicle, seller was getting harder and harder to get a hold of. Decided to take car into a mechanic we trusted only to spend almost $1200 in basic car maintenance and repairs that should have been completed before MVI sticker would have been approved. According to our mechanic, vehicle had fraudulant MVI sticker applied as this vehicle should not have passed. Seller blamed mechanic he used, to his knowledge car was in perfect order. He has not offered to pay for these repairs. We were also concerned about possible transmission issued but had to take to ******. ****** reported transmission was in need of replacing and had this vehicle been scanned there would have been no question the transmission needed replacing. Cost would be around $7000 for new replacement with unknown repairs needed once transmission was completed. Requested seller take vehicle back and refund us. Seller refused, wants to help find a used transmission which he believes would cost us around $3800 to repair. We do not trust Seller or his mechanic. We would still be responsible for these costs as well as any issues found after transmission is repaired. Seller has not offered to cover any of the costs of transmission or previous mechanic bill with exception of $2000 minus deductible if we repair transmission his way. We have learned that he also sold a vehicle to a friend not long before we purchased ours and it also had a fraudulent MVI sticker applied. Problems were covered up, in hopes they would not be noticed. He refunded that buyer and took the vehicle back. This all happened a week before we requested our vehicle be refunded.
