I had a oil change done and the person who did it completed oil change told me the bolt in my oil pan didn’t tighten all the way but it was fine and to just bring a new bolt in at my next oil change so this Saturday June 24th I went to sane location and they tell me they can’t do it because the bolt won’t move to come out . I call my dealer as directed by pit crew and they say they are responsible as they voided my warrenty but putting the boot in when it shouldn’t have been I call they all agree the person who told me at the previous time was wrong and it was their fault that they would give info to the owner to see what they would do I never heard back so I called Tuesday they said call back in ten mins no call and I emailed with no response because they used tools to try and remove it now my car is leaking oil a lot and I can’t even get it covered because they voided any warrenty I had

      Hi *****,

Thank you for the notification. I got the information on the situation from the team whom served the customer ***** ******* and from our billing/CRM system. I called ***** a moment ago, but didn’t get her. Please tell ***** to call me at her convenience to discuss the situation.

Her initial oil change was not done by the Pit Crew. We have no record of any service done for ******* vehicle. So that initial oil change that she refers to in her opening sentence would have been done somewhere else. Or someone else (under another name {possibly related to Kayla} may have gotten oil change from us…? I have no data in our system about the vehicle in question. All I know from the boys is that it’s a **********. When she came on June 24th, the boys couldn’t remove the drain plug to do an oil change. She had a new plug but we couldn’t do anything, other than recommending to go to the dealer to address the situation and stating that it may well be covered under the warranty.

It is clear and obvious to me that, as it is so often the case, the dealer is trying to blame independent repair/service garage to avoid doing the work and covering it under the warranty. There is no question in my mind that a stripped or malfunctioning drain plug or engine base pan cannot void the warranty, especially since there would be no damage to the engine. ***** needs to insist at the dealer to get this repaired under the warranty. If necessary, I can testify to the fact that we didn’t do anything and that any damage was done prior to her coming to us.

I brought my car to get a bumper to bumper detailing. After I picked up my car, I noticed spots on my rims. When I took a closer look it was bubbling and actually chipping off in places on all 4 of my rims. There is also this weird film on one of the caps on the rim, it looks like plastic but it doesn't come off. On my front bumper on the side close to the tire, there is paint missing, looks like it was rubbed or buffed off. Both my car and my tires were fine before bringing it in. I also want to note that I bought these tires/rims last summer. I only just put them on my car 2 weeks ago after getting my winter tires off. I called and the person on the phone told me to come in the next day to get it looked at. I did and also showed him that my trunk and some of the inside of the car wasn't done. He told me he would give the owner my number to contact me. I had to call the next day to ask for the owner to call me because I never got a call that day. When he called, he tried to tell me that my tires are old and I explained to him that these are new tires and rims and that wear and tear is not possible. I just switched my winter tires and these 2 weeks ago. They are on separate rims from my winters. He kept contradicting himself saying that they don't use high pressure washers or anything with chemicals and then in the same sentence he would say they do. He was getting upset and after I had mentioned that a few people have told me about their problems with this place, he hung up on me. I called him back stating I would come in for a refund. After a few hours, the owner texted me. I have added that with the documents. I have not gone to get a refund because I wanted to make sure to contact the BBB first to see what the best option was for me as a dissatisfied customer with damaged rims and no help or respect from the business.

I know the case well. Yes she said her aluminium wheels weren’t used over winter. I said to her that our washing the rims with a pressure washer and applying some wheel cleaner to remove the brake pad stains does not ruin the finish on the alloy/aluminium wheels. With wear on these wheels, the clear coat gets compromised and corrosion occurs under the clear coat. When clear coat is compromised and swollen by aluminium corrosion, the rust spots appear when you wash the wheel. I explained that Jeanine. But she wouldn’t listen or accept that explanation. I also asked her that if these wheels were new and not used in the winter, there should be warranty on the wheels for such defects. She said there wasn’t such warranty available.

      • We clean/wash dozens of vehicles every week. We know and do our work correctly. We wash/clean aluminium wheels commonly. If our pressure washing and wheel cleaner were damaging wheels, we’d have found out long ago and stopped using this method.
      • Salt/road wear compromise clear coating on alloy wheels over time. Corrosion happens and show itself as white spots/areas on the wheels. It’s a common occurrence.
      • I would question the quality of these aluminium wheels in the first place. No disrespect, but the car is a Hyundai Accent. I don’t think these wheels are even OEM.

Finally, just because we accept to clean someone’s vehicle and do the best job we can with that vehicle, it is not a license to accuse us of vehicle scratches and defects. Our only fault in such very rare cases as ********* car, is not to scan the car with pictures and notes of the car defects and scratches before we actually clean the vehicle. She accuses us of doing scratches on the edge of front fender (forget what side) and rubbing the rim…. We took that little car through our 10’ wide garage door and out again…. Someone rubbed into a curb or a snow bank. That’s what caused it.

      • We are not going to refund ******* for the work. We did the work, properly, for the vehicle it is and in the condition it was.
      • I would recommend ******* that she goes back to the vendor of the alloy wheels to get them repaired if she wants new wheels again. Perhaps, the wheels she thought she was buying as new, were not actually new…. I have no information about all that.
      • I can see that ******* may have extremely high standards for herself and her little car. But I find offensive that she accuses us of everything, in vain… for what? To get her money back or more? That seems dishonest to me.

      Thank You and Best Regards,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 20153071, and find that this resolution is unsatisfactory. I explained and have proof that they were and are new tires, only a year old. I went back about a warranty and there is none. They weren’t used by someone else or in winter. I did say that to him. I had just changed over my rims and tires from winter 2 weeks before going to get it detailed. I have heard from several individuals people I know and others who I don’t, that this place often does unsatisfying work, if I had known this before I wouldn’t have gone there.

I would like a refund as it’s going to cost me to have to fix my rims that were perfectly fine before hand. I have brought it to a mechanic to get their intake on the matter (one who also said this business has a lot of issues in regards to complaints). I do have high standards as a customer who is being treated unfairly from a business.

I put my truck in for complete oil based undercoating. This service includes all areas including under hood and inside doors. I picked the truck up and paid the full price for the service $172. Upon return to my home I inspected the rust proofing and found most areas had not been sprayed , mostly just the wheel wells and a little spray here and there. I called them to complain and they said it may need a little touch up. A little touch up? 90 percent of the truck was not sprayed. I wish my money refunded as the service was not performed. This seems to be a blatant attempt to make it seem as if it was done and just take my money. I have supporting photos to prove this claim.
