    A real “******* ******”! My machine was under a four year warranty. I couldn’t get it to go and a couple of friends checked it out and thought there was something wrong with the gas not getting through to the carburetor. I called the repair man, who Yardsworks recommended, and got my Son to bring the machine down to him. The night before my Son topped it off with oil. When I called a couple days later the repairman told me there was not a drop of oil in it but he didn’t know where it went and this was all under “general maintenance” so not under warranty! He also said I had the wrong key. I don’t know what happened to the original key. He also said I needed a new battery which I told him we had drained the battery trying to get her going so no I wasn’t buying a new battery. We boosted it and it’s been fine ever since. Under “general maintenance” he put in a spark plug, oil filter, fuel filter, 946 ml oil, which I don’t understand as it was full, and he flushed out the carburetor. I paid $150.64. I brought it home, charged the battery, it starts fine. The next day I started her and she started fine. I started to mow and she completely died. I couldn’t get around the garden once and she died several times. I called him and asked him about it but according to him he had her going and she mowed a whole field, everything was fine. A few friends tried to help but were as puzzled as I was. My Son’s friend, a mechanic, came and had to strip the carburetor, clean it, and she’s worked perfect ever since. I called the repairman back and told him about it. He basically said that because I wanted her for the long weekend that he did the best he could. I didn’t ask for “general maintenance”. I wanted her fixed!

    Warranty does not apply to required service such as spark plugs, oil and filters. Battery Dead upon arrival, and a ****** key in a box store mower. Permission was granted by customer to install these prior to service, and to do oil and filter service. Water and dirt found in filter, and in carb bowl. Flushed, installed new parts and test mowed ok. 1 hr labour plus parts and tax. Customer used up fuel and added more from her gas can which could have introduced more. Customer did not bring unit back for us to address-she was invited to do so. We would have free of charge.
