  The date the work was done was Oct. 14, 2022 at 10 am. I was present along with my daughter, Corinna Stovell. Two men spent 2 hours cleaning ducts in our mini home at 82 Greenhill Drive, Antigonish, NS. My daughter and her two children live in this home which my husband and I purchased last Jan. The work was done efficiently and pleasantly without incident. The workers seemed very helpful. The invoice for $977.50 was sent via email Tue., Oct. 18 and was paid via e-transfer the same day. I felt the cost was excessive but paid it anyway. Shortly after sending payment I received an email from the same email address asking me to do him (***** Myatt) a favor, i.e., to send another $500 to his other email. When I said no, he asked for $300 to help a friend who has cancer. I said, I just sent payment for $977.50, use that, whereupon he said he wanted to use that to sort bills. I ceased any communication via email after that and called him instead, wondering if someone had hacked his emails. I asked if he had sent the invoice and emails and he said yes. I asked why the service was so expensive. He said he would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I felt this was highly irregular business behavior.

  since we spoke my email was hacked and i lost all my contact information and totally forgot to reply to your compliant!

  I understand your upset with the amount charged and felt that you were happy with the work and paid immediately when invoices and were happy with the work(email)

  I noted when we spoke that your friend or neighbor or someone said they didn't pay as much- however u had more work done/heat pump and your mini home is much bigger than most so requires more vent cleaning!

  we also educated u on maintiance techniques etc... and I feel u were charged like anyone else was!

  all the equipment is cleaned thoroughly and done once completed for the next home so I'm sorry for the request for more $ however all my email contacts received the same email requesting more $ Etc....

  this isn't my way of doing business!

  Hopefully this clears this matter up!

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18384307, and find that this resolution is Less than adequate but do not wish to pursue it further
