On sept 14, 2023 I paid the deposit amount of 2000$ for one of two jobs. One private and one insurance. Restory dki advised they would be completing the private job and charging material costs and labour at the rate it took to complete the work. Dki instead has submitted an invoice based on an estimate which included work and time which was not completed. Upon discussing this with the company they agreed to reduce some additional hours they claimed they had not realized an employee was there but failed to deduct it to actual labour costs. On the insurance job restore dki have failed to complete the work required prior to asking for payment. Dki has since refused to install floor transitions between levels of flooring blaming the customer. Furthermore they damaged the dishwasher rendering it unoperational during their work but have refused to conduct repairs. They have blamed the circuit boards as the issue but fail to address the machine worked prior to being uninstalled and reinstalled. On the insurance job I am asking that restore dki proceed with the repairs from the equipment they damaged in the repair work and install the floor transitions. On the private job I have also asked they review the labour hours actually spent on the private job and charge accordingly. The estimate they are making their invoice from is significantly higher then the industry norm for this work and beyond the time spent on the job. I am happy to provide my own estimate on the hours spent if they are not willing to review their documents further as has been the case to date. I have followed up with restore dki on the phone and via email regarding these concerns and not been able to reach a resolution. Instead they have responded with various reasons they do not believe they are responsible for completing the job or providing an accurate invoice on the labour costs and materials.
