***** movers I've EVER hired! Right from the beginning I realized the warning flags when they sent two young kids and a *-**** truck. I should have canceled. Not only were these guys totally inexperienced and SLOW, one of the workers kept going back to the truck to smoke weed, and the other one stunk so bad of BO that our whole apartment smelled and we could barely stand it in there with him. Additionally, one of the workers was extremely rude, was verbally abusive and argumentative, and refused to follow ANY instructions given to him about moving our items, such as not stacking heavy boxes on top of boxes marked fragile, and wrapping our mattress with plastic or something to protect it from becoming dirty or damaged. They refused to wrap the matress even though they assured me they would, and then proceeded to drag it across the floor, and out across the outdoor cement, then he mouthed off at me when I asked him politely to lift the mattress off the ground. The list of complaints are just too many to list here, they broke over 10 items, scratched almost every piece of furniture, Including gouging the front of both of our TV's and breaking the foot stand off of one, smashing a mirror, bending the wheels on a heavy duty wire costco stainless rack, breaking a piece off of the front drawer of a piece of furniture and then refusing to even find it to give it back so I could glue it back on, smashing the inside shelves of our China cabinet, and a week later, my wife is still unpacking broken China. On top of that, we were quoted 8 hours max, and this move ran on for 15 hours! The hourly charge just kept adding up and up, and they kept dragging their heels, taking breaks The final fees were over double what was discussed. When we complained, the company owner was totally uncooperative, and said these were their best guys. Shocking. When the movers left, they threw their pop cans out the window of the truck into our apt parking lot, How embarrassing.

The job was a simple, move of our stuff from a storage place to our new apartment. . There were warning signs from the start. The mover used the lift gate, which is for heavy objects, instead of the ramp. I asked if they needed help lifting larger objects. The movers looked like they were struggling and might drop something. Our apartment has a driveway that slopes upward at a fairly steep angle. The driver parked on the top part. A professional knows that you park at the base of the hill. This shortens the distance you have to lift something. One of the movers dropped three boxes from a height of 3 - 4 feet. One contained our dishes, another contained a pinwheel crystal bowl and other pieces. The reason it was dropped was because of the position of the truck. When the lift platform touched the ground, the back part of the platform stopped and the front part continued down because of the slope. This caused the load to lunge forward and the mover lost control. They took the boxes upstairs and went through them in the presence of my wife. They assured my wife that the company would pay for the damages. This did not happen. The last communication I heard was "you packed it, you pay for it." For other reasons, I got to review the security footage of our move from the storage place. It made me realize this company acted in a very unprofessional manner. Firstly, they did not use the ramp which is inefficient and lazy. I also witnessed the largest mover bring only an end table that my youngest grandchild could carry. They also often took things off the truck after it had already been loaded. The employee who worked at the storage place commented on what we saw. To paraphrase, they said that they had been working in the storage industry for a long time and our movers were the worst they had ever seen. I agree! They need to find a new occupation and leave the moving of people's precious things to the professionals.
