Neighbor and myself had our driveways torn up and repaved in May of 2022. The driveways started to break down. Every time we would spray the driveway down with water little pebbles of the driveway would start separating from the surface. Seemed to be that the asphalt didn't have enough tar in the mixture to keep it together. I had called the company twice and had to leave a message, my neighbor called and had to leave a message also. They then emailed him and he responded. He had come to look at the driveways and told us it was caused by the turning of the vehicle wheels in the driveway. He informed us that the driveways would have to be sealed and began to tell us it would be at our expense in which the neighbor stated that it should not be breaking down that quick. The employee **** then started to get aggressive and the neighbor stated he would seek action if it was not fixed at their expense. **** then stated they would come to seal it at their expense in a by the end of the month of September. We are now into October and the temperatures now are to cool to seal and he has never contacted us with any correspondence. **** has been avoiding us.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18155558, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

On April 24, 2022 we had our driveway paved by this company. I have requested a receipt since that date and have not received one (likely because they forced us to pay cash.. I had a check prepared but wouldn't accept it or else it wouldn 't be our quoted cost which was tax free discount). Second issue came to light as the summer went on further. The driveway is so grainy (low tar quality asphalt is likely the issue), and the driveway can be rubbed away with a swipe of the foot. After multiple calls, emails and one contact reach out from BBB to remedy situation Owner Corey finally returned call only to say nothing wrong but we need to tar it ouselves. We came to an agreement that as driveway should not be crumbling after just a few months he would send "his cousin" to seal the driveway. There has been no confirmation of time or date of the sealling job and it now starting to be cold temperatures overnight. This is occurring for me and my attached neighbour (26 Lovell Lane) Both of us have been requestion receipts and both of us been asking for at least a seal job to be complete. We are not asking for a further discount or full redo, just simply him to send someone within a week to seal the driveway that is crumbling before it is too late and we have to redo full driveway in Spring and him claim he never did this one. (Typed this at night, can take photos later in sunlight to show claim, and scan the "quote" document)
