RJHandyman entered into a contract to rebuild front steps and gut and redo entire bathroom. The steps were built but when one looks at the workmanship they will notice steps were sloped downward causing a potential fall. Railing started at the top of the post the other side 3” down on the post. Bottom posts were cut so short the railing was above the cutoff posts. Both railings did not even line up with the post at the bottom. For the bathroom renovation the floor was not levelled before tile was laid therefore causing tiles to break, as well toilet had to be shimmed severely in order to be installed. The tubs around was trimmed with WOOD (who does that) The tiled niche was heavily grouted to cover up the short cuts of the tile. The GFI plug that was to be installed was set in the wall and a hole drilled through the floor where the wire that was to be hooked up to the panel box in the finished basement was left dangling from the ceiling. The electrician that was promised to do this service never did show up so the wire is still hanging there. When the deficiencies were pointed out to the contractor he quit. Even though a written contract for these services, deposits paid for both projects and the steps fully paid for he left the homeowner high and dry with a partially finished non functioning bathroom (meaning when asked if he was going to install the toilet before quitting) he said NO. So if your planning on hiring this company I would think twice or at least don’t criticize the shoddy workmanship till he at least installs your toilet.
