      We hired ****** **** at Jerry's Appliance Repair to repair our microwave in Aug of 2023. He took it to his shop, repaired it and has failed to return it to our cottage and is not returning calls or texts. As far as I know the microwave is repaired, he is just not returning it. The bill has been paid months ago.

      I contacted ****** ****, the current owner of Jerry's Appliance Repair on November 3rd, 2022 to ask if he could look at our ********* washing machine as it was making noises when it was running through its cycles. ****** arrived that afternoon. He immediately diagnosed the problem as requiring a replacement rear tub assembly (********* part number W11239040). He advised that ********* no longer manufactured this part and that it was considered obsolete. He said that he could order it from a used parts dealer in the US and advised that we would have to pay for the part and the shipping costs in advance which seemed perfectly reasonable. My partner and I trusted what ****** said. Later that day he sent us invoice #632 which included his time for Nov 3, pre-payment for the required part, shipping and HST. On Nov 4th, I sent an e-transfer for $779.19. He promptly replied via email “Payment received and order has been placed. Let's hope for a quick trip across the border :)”. I thanked him. I have had no communication with him since. I reached out to him on Nov 16 via text. I have left two voicemails: one on Nov 16 and 17. My partner, Norman did reach him by telephone on Nov 17 but most likely Norman’s call was answered because he called from his business line, Sure Courier. ****** did answer and said he was still waiting on delivery but he had full intentions of installing the part. I sent a final text on Dec 16 with no response. We have since made the difficult decision to order a new washing machine. We simply would like to receive our money back and warn others of Jerry's Appliance Repair business ethics. I have attached the invoice and two photos of the e-transfer.
