The clerks were very welcoming and accommodating. The manager was rude. Our first room had a clogged bathtub drain and the bathroom door did not close. I had to clean out the drain with my tweezers (at 11pm) so that my wife would not be grossed out for her bath in the morning. We asked for another room which the staff graciously provided and was quite lovely. At 1:30 am there was scratching coming from within the back wall of the room which would stop for a few seconds when I banged on the wall. I should note that the scratches were from a large rodent, not a mouse. This went on until 5:00 therefore we did not get any sleep at all. I then went to the office at 7:30am for the complimentary breakfast and the door was locked so we had to leave to attend a function which took up most of the day. I phoned the motel around 9:30 to make them aware of the issue and was told that the manager would be back later in the afternoon. It was 4:00 when we returned to clean out our room and then spoke with the very rude manager who would not reimburse us for our troubles. We have since been reimbursed for 1/2 of one night when we only spent 2 nights there. We had paid for 3 nights up front on Friday May 10 and I had suggested that we were willing to pay for the first night only as the second night was a nightmare. In summary, we had to get a different motel for the third night which had us paying for 3 1/2 nights. This has been a very traumatic experience for my wife and I and we are severely not impressed.
