The Mazda dealer in Truro has refused to pay to repair our air conditioner even though Mazda Canada sent them my attached email. They said it is because they spent $1800 on it already. My husband and I purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester from the Mazda dealership in Truro, NS. We were told on the date that we purchased the vehicle on July 27, 2021 that if anything went wrong in 30 days that they would cover the repairs. The air conditioner has only been working intermittently since the day we bought it.Business response

To whom it may concern,
Truro mazda at the time of the original complaint of the air conditioner brought the car to Subaru to have it fixed, we spent $1800 resolving the issue it’s now eight months later with a new issue, the air conditioner was fixed and working great for eight months, I believe the new issue should be solved by either the customer or ******,

I am rejecting this response because:
To Whom It May Concern:In response to Mazda's reply to the BBB complaint, the intermittent issue with the air conditioner has been an ongoing problem since it was bought from Truro Mazda July 27, 2021. The air conditioner was not needed during the winter months. When it was turned on in May 2022, it had the same problem with working about 5 minutes and then blowing warm air. At this time, the Subaru was taken to Truro Mazda. The manager refused to spend any more money on it.A verbal statement was made by the manager of Truro Mazda in August 2021 that the issue would be fixed even if the whole air conditioner had to be replaced. At this time, he saw that cool air suddenly changed to warm air.On June 14, 2022, Subaru diagnosed a compressor problem and an appt. was made for a replacement on July 14, 2022.In discussion with Subaru yesterday, they stated that the reason the compressor issue wasn't picked up on Oct. 20, 2021 was due to the outside temperature on that date not being warm enough for the compressor to fail. There was no charge for the diagnosis on June 14, 2022 because it was the same ongoing problem. It had been taken by Mazda to Subaru at this time because it was blowing warm air after running. On June 14, 2022, Subaru noticed that after running a few minutes that it went from cool to warm. This was also observed by my own mechanic in May 2022.The expectation is that Truro Mazda would honor their statement from last August 2021. As well, it was brought to their attention within the 30 days.**** ********
