      I purchased four private horse riding lessons for my daughter totalling $327.70 on October 26, 2020. I paid via e-transfer. Due to Covid, in November 2020 the stable was shut down after only 2 of the lessons had been taken. I have asked repeatedly since January 2021 for an opportunity for my daughter to come and take the 2 lessons that were paid for. I was told that due to their insurance, she would not be able to take those two outstanding lessons until she was registered for monthly lessons. This did not make any sense to me as she was not registered for monthly lessons when she completed the first two private lessons but I was interested in finding a long term place for her to ride so I agreed. I was then told I would need to check back every month on the 16th to see if I could secure a spot. I did this with no success in June, July and August. After complaining that it was impossible to sign up for monthly lessons in order to receive the two lessons I had already paid for, the stable offered for my daughter to ride at 9:30 - 10pm at night on Wednesday. My daughter is 12 and so I said that was not possible. Once again I was told that they would try to find something for her but in October after 10 months of waiting I simply asked for my money for the two lessons to be refunded. I have been told that it is their policy to not refund any money. I have no interest in my daughter returning to these stables and would be very uncomfortable leaving her in their care after this experience. I have repeatedly asked Meadowlarke to please refund me $163.85 (50% of what was paid) for the 2 lessons out of the 4 that she never received. The stable simply refuses.

      Meadowlarke Stables operates a summer day camp. Their "first ordered, first paid" registration system is not clearly communicated on their website. They are too overwhelmed to call customers back, and have autoaccept on e-transfers accepting payments for camp sessions that are already full. They are not committed to providing refunds through the original payment method in a timely manner, nor do they care that they are misleading customers who are left without childcare when they don't realize their children are not actually registered in camp.
