On Oct. 18/21 I visited ********* **** ****** at *** ****** **. in Aurora asking that they investigate a vibration in the front end of my 2005 **** ***** cargo van. Not only were the brakes in need of service but also the belts inside my ****** ******* AT tires had shifted. I had two tires removed so the rims could be refinished at ********* **** *********. With two tires in the van and two still on the van I visited A&T Tire and Wheel to ask for some help with tires that had failed in less than 30,000 Km's. Michael took measurements and photos of the two tires on the van. When I returned to ask how the process was going he wanted to see the other pair of tires, so I was a little annoyed that I needed to retrieve them from my self storage locker since the second pair of tires were in my van when I first visited, he later called my annoyance "attitude". Michael called later to say ****** would sell me new ******* AT tires for $110 each. After my experience with their early failure I did not want to use ******* AT tires again. Michael did not say that was the only offer ****** was making, replacing the original purchase. Nor was I told the four failed tires needed to be returned to ******. So, when I took the second pair of rims with tires to *******'s for refinishing I let them dispose of the tires. Now I only have two tires with which to ask another dealer for help. I called in Dec. about a resolution, and again in Jan. and finally visited A&T Tire last week when I was told of the details listed above. Michael shrugs, tells me the tires are old, that I'm not a customer, that I was only buying the tires and having them mounted in B.C. I said no, why would I drive to B.C. to have tires mounted? He says well, you're from B.C. No, I grew up in Maple. Ontario. Since November I've learned there are no used 16" tires in the recycling yards, 16" rims are not being sold on vehicles any more. Now I'm stuck; with only two failed tires.
