***** **** ****** of CountrySide Home and Farm Construction was working on two neighbouring properties conducting landscaping work involving the construction of stone retaining walls, patios, and walkways. I was encouraged by the neighbours to seek out his services for a walkway and retaining wall that I needed. We engaged in a formal agreement through the attached invoice on May 29, 2021. He requested a deposit for materials plus labour of $6,450. This deposit was paid in full through e transfer immediately. Throughout the next 5 months, we received poor communication from **** as well as many promised dates of starting the work that were never met. We realized at this time that either **** was withholding information for trouble he was having in his life or had simply decided to take our money with no intention of completing the work. On October 25, 2021 we sent **** a formal request to terminate the contract and requested our money back at this time. To date he has made a series of e transfers to myself in an attempt to return the money we're owed. We have stopped receiving any responses or e transfers from **** and there is an outstanding balance of $1,257. It has been nearly a year and we are worried that he doesn't intend to pay the remaining balance. We are seeking your help in resolving this issue and also wish to share with the general public this business's mode of conduct so that this will not happen to anyone else. On the invoice you will see on pages 3 & 4 that **** ****** goes by a different business name and address. Each page also shows a different 'bill to' person. He didn't intend to send me these additional tabs on the excel spreadsheet. You will notice them on page 3 and 4 of the pdf.Customer response
