On January 17, 2022 we contacted Greenfield Furnace and Air (which was the number on my watertank heater) about having no hot water. They sent out some technicians who said my tank was old and that it needed to be replaced. We had the hot water tank replaced and I was asked to sign their ipad. When I asked what I was signing, they said "you are just confirming that we removed your old water heater and replaced it with a new one". At no point did they inform me that I was no longer with Enecare (I've been with them for 20+ years) and that I should not pay them. Without knowing that, I continued to pay Enecare via my ******** bill for the past 13 months not knowing another carrier was now my provider. I did not receive any bill or invoice from the new provider until August. When I called Greenfield to ask about this, they said to call *********** ********** ****. which I did, and they did not have me on record. I received an email in October/22 stating that I owed them roughly $400 for a hot water tank I did not know they provided. This caused so much time, effort and chaos for us as a result of the negligence of Greenfield not informing us that we had a new carrier. We've called Greenfield countless times and still do not have more than 10 minutes of hot water. We would like Greenfield to come out and resolve the problem, as we feel that the new tank which went from a 50 gallon tank to now being a 40 gallon tank (again they did not disclose that to us), is a lemon and does not work.
