            8 people outside waiting for the door to open at 1PM. After entering, I heard an older lady speaking to the sole person behind the counter when that person put a finger in the air and said, I am on the phone! She was using one of those ear phones. I waited after checking in and a nice person, Sara called my name and I followed her into a room where she began explaining the hearing test. I told her that it would make more sense to have it done after my ears were checked for any wax build up. It was then that she explained that it would be $50.00 and that I required an appointment for this. I informed her that this was the reason I was there, I knew what the cost was and I had made an appointment specifically for this purpose. This was done approximately two weeks ago. As it turns out, I drove down from Stirling for this reason and the appointment and my time was lost. I was invited back for another time but I said “not to this place” I said to Sara, that I did not mean to give her a hard time and I left after informing the person behind the counter to cancel the OHIP charge for this appointment that never took place.             Hi Joseph, Thanks for your review. On February 24th, 2022, you were booked for a hearing test at 1:00pm with Sam, one of our clinicians. The office is closed from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and people are told with each reminder call that they should arrive at the time of their appointment to limit the amount of people in the waiting room. Before we perform each hearing test, we look in your ears to assess your ear canal, wax, and eardrum. If the wax isn't impeding your ability to hear, then a hearing test can be performed without affecting the results. Sam was in the process of explaining this to you, but you were adamant that you wanted your ears cleaned before the hearing test. Both ear cleaning rooms were being used for the duration of your hearing test appointment, so your ears could not be cleaned. Sam made every effort to accommodate you, but you were quite happy to not accept any resolution and leave the clinic after "giving the person who booked your appointment a piece of your mind." I apologize if the appointment type was booked incorrectly, but we tried to remedy the situation by offering you an ear cleaning appointment on a different day.
