On June 2021 my car was repaired at this shop for. Blown engine, after receiving my car back there were still issues involving an ignition coil, then 1 month later the radiator blew, I don’t believe this company does quality work as about 3 weeks after the rad issue the engine blew again, my vehicle has been at this shop for over a month and I’m waiting for them to send a quote to the warranty company I deal with, however the warranty company hasn’t received anything and when o try to call KD there phone is constantly busy? Now I am stressing that this is going to cost me money even though there is no logical reason the engine should have blown less then 5000km after being rebuilt, unless it’s poor workmanship,I would like a resolution as I am unable to get to work with this vehicle and am now being threatens to be sued by the finance company because I haven’t been able to properly wor on over 2 months due to this vehicle being not usable.Business response

In regards to this complaint, Mr. ****** had a used engine installed in June 2021 (as approved and paid for by customers warranty provider and used car dealership). Mr. ****** did return within a week with an ignition coil issue and was replaced by KD Transmission at no charge to him. One month later Mr. ****** experienced a radiator issue followed by engine failure. The engine failure was due to lack of antifreeze which was caused by a rear heating hose bypass valve. The vehicle was drove with minimal to nil antifreeze overheating the engine. KD Transmission could not have foreseen this. As this was not a defective engine, the warranty company does not cover it. Mr. ****** has advised that he cannot cover the costs. We are willing to reduce the costs of another used engine and labour time to zero. Mr. ****** has not dropped in to speak to me personally regarding this except for stating he would be picking the vehicle up (over a month ago). The shop line can be busy at times but there is always someone onsite Monday to Friday 7:00 - 5:00 or a message can be sent from our website.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I understand what had gone in with the vehicle and thdt it may not be the fault of the shop, however there are inaccuracies in this response, I was never quoted a lower rate for no labour costs snd cheaper replacement engine? Only received 1 quote from this shop, and I only received that quote after originally submitting this complaint and them having my vehicle for atleast 2-3weeks. I did contact the shop about picking up this vehicle, however it was only about 3 weeks ago not over a month as stated by the shop. I will be picking up this car as soon as I am able from them.
