I was quoted by this business for the supply and installation of drapery / window treatments for an entire Bed & Breakfast Business in Milford in March 2020. My original selections of fabric were continuosly refuted by Ms. H********* , the owner , on the basis that the fabrics were apparently no longer available. Once I finally agreed on alternative selections , - she quoted the project , and I then told her that I would consider it, - since the contract price was $ 27,444.31 . I found this to be quite expensive, however , given that the downstairs fabric was all the same style, for each of the rooms, I told her to proceed. She confirmed on April 27, 2020 that she had secured the fabric and was waiting for production to start. I was then advised some time later that there was in fact not enough fabric for the entrance way drapes but I could choose an alternate fabric. I did not want an alternate!!! I then advised Ms. H********* to discontinue the downstairs portion of the project in its entirety, since the consistency of fabric downstairs swayed my decision.. Unfortunately she did not follow my direction and she continued with production of the material that she did have. I reluctantly paid for 1/2 of the order on 27th October 2020 in the amount of $ 13,000. The drapes were finally installed in August 2021, without any drapes on the front entrance, yet she has invoiced me the entire amount, less a meager credit of $50.00 for the non-installation of the drapes. She has consistently pressured me into making an alternative choice of fabric for the entrance of the B&B - notwithstanding that the quotation, the fabrics nor the installation itself have met any of my expectations. I did place the order and I did receive product, but I expect a credit for $ 4500.00 for the front entrance drapes, the non-decorative rods for the bay windows, ( she quoted identical decorative rods throughout) and the incomplete installation of what I do have.Business response

A resolve was decided on even before Decorchic had knowledge of this compliant. A date was set to complete work and final payment was received. Now Decorchic has learned that there was a stop payment put on the final cheque received. Decorchic is unaware of any reason as to why the stop payment was issued. An attempt has been made by phone to ask why, but I had to leave a message, a return phone call has not been received. So it seems this has not been resolved and considering next steps.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because I disagree with the comment that Decorchic was unaware of the complaint before November 19th. I filed the complaint on November 6th only after receiving no response from my original contact with Decorchic - on October 26th after receiving the final invoice. It was on November 9th that Decorchic finally replied to my concern that I did not agree with the final invoice. A counter proposal was made on Sunday November 14th which included additional work and adjustments , which was totally contrary to the request that the first contract be paid in full before moving forward. I hesitantly agreed to pay the additional money contingent that we continue the relationship for the additional work. I paid the invoice on November 17, in person at the business of Decorchic. It was then on Friday November 19th that I received an email suggesting that it was only then Friday, November 19th that Decorchic learned of the complaint at it was then that they told me to find someone else to do the remainder of the alterations. I put a stop payment on the cheque. I have since re-issued the cheque for the amount that I originally proposed in agreement with what Decorchic originally requested.I consider the matter to be closed.
