I hired Northbound Roofing to replace my roof, a complete redeck. 1/2" plywood if they were able to go over the existing aspenite, 5/8 if they had to rip everything off and resheet. **** said, upon further inspection that 'everything needs to be ripped off' They originally had quoted $5200.00 (I supplied all material) which was the same quote that I had from a roofer with 50 years of experience. They had time to start within a few weeks. After leaving the first time ******* revised the bill to $6200.00 saying that extra was for the redeck that I had to talked to **** about, which absolutely DID NOT occur. The first time at my property I was away in SC on business. I was assured that would not be an issue. I came home to 8' of 12' on the front house ripped up and replaced and 4' out of 12' on the back side of the house replaced leaving 8' and 4' or original rippled aspenite. On the rear section of the original house a 12/12 pitch, they put down 16' of 5/8" plywood on either side of the roof and then trasitioned back to the original roof, leaving a 5/8" transition. I made the mistake of paying them $6000.00 based on 2 pictures that **** sent me when they were done. After arriving home and seeing the abortion that they had done to my roof I emailed them and received a reply "That there had been a massive mistake and misunderstanding regarding which plywood was to be used on the redeck and that they were coming back at their expense to make everything right and promised that I would be happy with the repair job" They came back a month or so later, I was home but had to leave at 10am on business. I didn't think that I needed to stay and babysit a guy with a supposed 17 years of experience. Northbound roofing bought 12 sheets of 5/8" plywood to replace what they did not rip up and match the rest of the roof. I told them to take it with them and use the material that I had onsite. Instead, they used 6 sheets of 5/8 and 11 1/4 sheets of 1/2" and stole material from me.
