Before placing my order on April 20/22 to the Blind Depot, I called the company to obtain more information about their product. At this time I was advised that the 3% solar blinds were almost black out and the product would be identical to the samples I ordered earlier. Feeling confident in the advice I received from the employee at Blind Depot and the Taupe sample I had in hand ************ I placed my order. May 10/22 - I received the order and to my disappointment the blinds were nothing like the sample and far from being close to blackout. ************ May 11/22 I contacted the companies manager to politely request an exchange. I was advised there would be no return on this product that I am unhappy with. This has cost me almost 800$

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/25) */ We offer free fabric samples for clients that they can receive in the mail so that they are able to see the color and type of fabric of the blind before they place their order. The client ordered fabric samples for blackout blinds only. ***************************************** She then placed her order (order #**************) for 3% solar blinds, which are not blackout.. It says right in the product description that the blinds only block 97% of the light. https://www.blinddepot.ca/product/3-solar-shade/ She received exactly what she ordered. We confirmed with the employee that she spoke with that there was no representation made that the 3% solar blinds were almost blackout. In fact, we have a separate tab for blinds that are blackout on our website and 3% solar is not included in this category. https://www.blinddepot.ca/product-category/blackout-roller-shades/ Also, we offer 1% solar shades that block 99% of the light so that is another clear sign that there was no such recommendation to order the 3% solar (because 1% is even more opaque than 3% solar). All our orders are custom made and we do not do returns or exchanges unless there is a manufacturing error. This is clearly stated on our website https://www.blinddepot.ca/terms-conditions/ As a courtesy, we offered the client a 35% discount if she wanted to re-order in blackout blinds. She did not want to accept this offer, but wanted to order an additional blind, so we offered her 35% on the additional blind, as a courtesy. *************************************************** ************************************************************************ *********************************************************************************
