To whom it may concern. As a big fan of sprinters, (I had 6 of them) I am very disappointed with my Mercedes-Benz truck 2020. Last year brakes were changed at the Mercedes-Benz, ** ********** ****** ********. After driving 30,000km on June 4th, 2023 I could start my vehicle but it was not moving forward or reverse as the brakes had seized. I called Mercedes-Benz and a representative confirmed that the vehicle is on full warranty and should be brought to the shop to be fixed. A couple of days later, a Mercedes-Benz representative called me and advised that the vehicle was fixed and I had to pay $ 1,829.38. I strongly believe that lousy quality brakes from Mercedes-Benz are not my fault or responsibility. There is no reason why a vehicle that is brand new with low mileage should be experiencing these issues this early on, and based on conversations with MB representatives, it was believed to have been covered under the warranty. Mercedes refused to cover tire damage and replacement under insurance program as part of lease with Mercedes Benz Brampton. Was led to believe verbally that contract would cover any tire damage and additional contractual terms not provided. Tire was catastrophically damaged and Mercedes has refused to cover. Mercedes claims that the tire was worn out - a ridiculous claim for a tire on a 2018 vehicle with 45000 km. I had just had the vehicle serviced and have a record of over 5mm and 7mm average tread depth for tires. ***Update September 23, 2021*** Mercedes Benz failed to fulfil their obligations under a tire insurance contract or alternatively negligently maintained and overinflated tires in regular maintenance services or provided faulty tires that catastrophically failed. I leased a 2019 brand new Mercedes from this dealership. The tires wore down in the center and not evenly and then catastrophically burst while driving on the highway creating significant safety risks to me and my family. The vehicle and tires were new with less than 50K km on them before they were destroyed through normal use. This is necessarily due to either provision of faulty or damaged tires upon lease or by overinflation of the tires in regular maintenance that was carried out by Mercedes Benz. This is entirely the fault of Mercedes and compensation for the cost of the tires is being sought.
