Hardwood, Vinyl, Laminate Flooring - Hardwood Giant It was horrible experience at this store located at *** ******** ****. Nitesh , the manager of the store asked me to lock the prices for a sale item. I was told that that I can lock the price after paying $500/-. There is no obligation to buy the product or services. A Final quotation will be given to me with subsequent to the home visit to my house for measurements. Nitesh, told me that this amount is fully refundable if I do not like the full quotation . After my home visit for measurements, I received the quotation which was very high compared to other suppliers and contractors. So I declined the quotation . Nitesh, deducted $200/- from my amount of $500/- stating charges for the measurements and preparing the quotation. Considering , **** **** charges $60 for home measurements , and advertise on their website , and charges you before the visit. **** ***** ** *** *** *** *** ***** ******* * ********** * ********** *** ******** *** ********* No where it is written or advertised for $200 charges for home measurements and providing quotation. ******* *** **** *** ********* ** ******* ** ** ** *****- I will take this matter to small court also. ********* ********* My review pertains to the Stoney Creek location. My experience with this hardwood flooring store was beyond disappointing. Their initial promise to match my current floor with a provided sample turned into a nightmare when they unveiled a staggering $500 charge, conveniently withheld during my first three visits. Adding insult to injury, if the match wasn’t up to par, I’d be on the hook for more undisclosed sample fees. To compound the deceit, when our friends sought an estimate, the store demanded an exorbitant 50% down payment, refusing any flexibility. We purchased 700 sq/ft of Engineered Hardwood from this company. During the installation we noticed a difference between the sample and the new floor. It was certainly different from the sample we chose in the store. After reporting this to the company they said "we chose" that color. Not true, we choice the color that matches the sample in the store. * **** * ***** **** *** ********* ******** ***** ***** * ****** I never post reviews but we’ve had such a disastrous experience I hope to warn others. Salesperson (Meetkunwar S.) was fine initially, helped to match our existing flooring. Ordering and paying was fine (full payment before product delivery/install seems odd). The sales person said it was a 2 day job and so we coordinated work from home. The installers (2 person team) arrived (at 11 am) and without introducing themselves started with how there wasn’t enough wood, the floor thickness wasn’t right, measurements were off (verified by us, with measurement team and 10% overage) etc. then proceeded to work for 2 hours before their nail gun broke. Instead of just sourcing one locally they had to return to Mississauga so they called it a day. Meet was not willing or able to answer our questions and requests for more staff to finish the job faster. They returned Saturday (for 10 am) and proceeded to work away, strangely cutting wood inside the house making a big mess. They had to return Monday (at 940 am) to finish, no extra workers present, with an extra box, and continued working away inside the house, setting off our fire alarms repeatedly, making remote work impossible. Meet did not even consider a discount on the additional box given all the issues and measurement confirmation and told the installers not to leave until the 2 boxes were paid for, without providing a price per box invoice to verify. ************************************** We purchased our flooring on Sept 13th, we were told 4 weeks our invoice stated 8 to 16. After 11 weeks , on November 30th we went in store because our phone calls were being ignored. We asked about our flooring and were told, we don't know where it is, we had to pick other flooring because we could no longer delay our reno. After it was installed we tried to return 10% of the leftover full boxes but were told, we couldn't because we purchased it in September. They also sold us the incorrect underpad, and we're blamed because we should of known which underpad to use.Review from Hussein M

I needed engineered wood that's 4 years old. There's none in alberta where I am. So I looked on line and came across hardwood giant in Brampton. I was dealing with a fellow named JD who confirmed he had the flooring style I needed for my repair. The following day JD requested a credit card for a deposit which was only supposed to be a couple hundred dollars. Fast forward a week, I had no communication from JD and was charged $1000 deposit without my consent. I decided to phone hardwood giant's main office number that I saw on their ******** page. I complained about my terrible experience with JD. JD called me within 5 min. He tried to convince me he hadn't forgotten me and everything was fine. I told JD I had opened a complaint with ********** for fraud and I wanted my $1000 back which he had taken without consent and services rendered. After an hour of stalling by the slick salesman I got confirmation via a POS receipt that my refund was processed. *************************************************************** ********************************************************** They took a deposit and then refused to do the work. Took me the better part of 3 days and numerous calls to get the deposit refunded which was 100% guaranteed and in the installation agreement. The area of disagreement was the square footage that needed to be floored. My measurements were about 20% lower than Hardwood Giant but they insisted they were correct. *************************************************************** *************************************************************** ***************************
