We start to engaged the Heart of Home Maintenance (**** *******) Nov 2021 to replace our exterior doors. After agreeing on the scope of work and the quote, they requested a $2,145 amount for materials, which we paid Feb 10, 2022. They seemed professional up until we paid a deposit to purchase the doors, after that we had to push hard to get project updates but received nothing but excuses. After final getting a start date for the work to begin, they postponed and gave more excuses. This happened a couple more time. Finally, they didn't even show up for the last appointment, nor provide any excuse why they didn't show. At this point, we requested that they not proceed with the work and that we will be acquiring the services of a different contractor. We have been trying to settle the account regarding the $2,145, however they stopped replying to email and phone. We had to get someone locally to call them for us in order to get them to answer the phone. They said they could either drop off the doors or refund the deposit. We requested that they refund $2,000 (allow them to keep $145 for the quote generation) and provided the e-transfer details, but they haven't transferred the funds nor will they reply to email or phone. We strongly prefer a refund but at the very least delivery of the product with receipt.
