We recently had our house painted and discovered when painting ceilings that none of the bathroom exhaust fans were actually mounted. When we complained to builder we were told the warranty had expired. I'm not sure given all exhaust fans were covered with a grate we were supposed to notice this within warranty period as it is akin to discovering that none of the receptacles were grounded. I haven't opened each up to confimr wiring is correct, I've assumed that Reid's has done the installation correctlyBusiness response

I have also attached the link to the Tarion website that provides the warranty coverages. ************************************************************************* Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The tarion warranty is for defects to the house whereas Reids is hiding behind the terms of the warranty to cover ****** ************************* work they performed. I maintain that as a buyer we expect that the builder has performed basic tasks up to both code and best practices. Covering up those deficiencies and hoping the buyer doesn't notice until the tarion warranty is expired is not the action of a member of the better business bureau. His date of possession is October, 2016, and if the fans were not installed correctly, I trust there would have been an issue that would have been addressed within the applicable warranty period. I am sorry we are unable to assist, and we will not be responding on this issue further.
