****** ******, **** ******* ** ****** *** ********* *** *** *** ****** ************ ***** ******************* A Senior citizen customers recent Trailer Purchase Nightmare Re: Auto & RV Dealership, Big Country RV, 2614993 ONTARIO INC. Hwy #15 Carleton Place, ON, K7C 3P2 ******* *******, ***** ****** *********, **** ****** Dear ***, We are 2 retired seniors on fixed income who have had a harrowing experience in purchasing a trailer (**** ******** ***** ***** ** *****) through Big Country RV in Carleton Place. We are lifelong campers, the past 30+ years, trailer campers. Along the way, we have bought our trailers both privately and through local dealers. To date, it has always been a pleasant experience. My husbands health is failing, he is not able to tow a vehicle. We thought this was the ideal time to try seasonal camping and so, we headed to Big Country RV in Carleton Place, ON in September, 2021. Initially we found the sales team to be friendly, welcoming, helpful. BCRV had a 28” trailer available that we thought would work for us & provide a bit extra space for a great summer outdoors where my husband could relax and enjoy some restful time. We were happy to find that BCRV’s Platinum preparation service was an inclusion of our purchase. Sales outlined in detail and assured us of the amazing job the Service team would do during pre-inspection, testing,/replace/repair, cleaning, detailing as well as a walk-through orientation + fresh caulking the new-to-us trailer. Because the purchase was fully paid upfront & would stay securely locked on site in BCRV’s locked compound until spring, Sales also offered us use of the interior to store our camping gear over-winter. In April we arranged & paid an additional charge ($ 623.50) for delivery to our seasonal site (we have since learned that this amount is about 3 times what other dealers charge). We arrived on the day at BCRV to find our gear was missing & the trailer had been pumped so full of air freshener,Business response

Purchased a trailer there, added a rear view camera and installation with the deal for $1100 plus tax. I picked up the unit on 9/9/22, they gave me a coupon for %25 off any accessories. I called today to ask about extending this offer to the camera, I was told no. My point of view is that they knew about this coupon since they give it to everyone. I think it would be only fair they give me a credit, that can be used in store, service or their campsite. Also, all of the items I purchased that day are grossly overpriced even with the %25 coupon. It would be a good gesture on their part to credit me for that $ as well.Initial Complaint

Big Country RV of Carleton Place ON, (*** *** ****) sold us a motorhome September 2021 and gave us $11,000.00 for trade in of our 2014 ***** *** vehicle. They were/are aware that there is a lien against the ***** *** and they have not paid the lien to the **** Bank as agreed & signed by legally. We have paid the the last 3 months for ***** *** only realizing now that we should not be paying it because it is not our legal responsibility to do so. Our sales contract states that Big Country RV, is responsible to pay off the lien against the ***** ***. We would like to have these payments refunded to us ASAP. I called Big Country RV last week and was told I was the 3rd person to call them with the same problem ! They have closed for December & will reopen Jan 2022. A Mr McCloud ? Financial rep for Big Country RV, is to call us back, but as of today’s date Dec 16 2021 has not called, emailed or contacted us ? Visited **** bank and was informed that they (****) want us to keep paying for the ***** *** as **** has not received any money from Big Country RV ! We are going to put a stop payment on the **** payment as we can not afford to pay for a car we no longer own and therefore are not legally responsible for. My wife ***** ****** and I believed & still believe that Big Country RV is ******* responsible to pay **** loan/lien. And, **** owes us 3 months of payments. ******* **** ******* ** ******* **** *** ***** **** ****** * ***** ***** *** *** **** ****** *** *** **** ******
