Killarney did an awesome job on our new build property. We went from a debris filled lot to perfectly graded, sodded golf green grass this summer. Additionally we had tree's put in, and a beautiful custom fit pit that they designed. Dan has great knowledge and perfection in his work. They are a hard working, well communicating crew. We'll be having them back for more work next year for sure!Killarney Landscaping Response

Dan and Killarney were recommended by a friend in 2020 and we met Dan in early winter that year. We told him what we wanted and he sent a drawing and estimate for the work in Spring of 2021. The estimate was below budget ( when does that ever happen? ) so we booked him for Spring. The Killarney crew were prompt, courteous and left the job site clean every night before they left. Our job was just under 900 sq.ft of stone and the backyard went from grass to patio in about 7 days. Due to supply issues, we had to change stone and we left the design in the hands of Dan. We could not be happier with the results. Our back yard is the talk of the neighborhood now. As a matter of fact, the stone company came with a photographer and shot pictures of it for their summer '22 catalogue. While they were there, we also had them lay a garage apron and new walk way for us in the front of the house. Again, stunning. Thanks again Dan and your crew. I would HIGHLY recommend Dan and Killarney for any landscaping plans or jobs.Killarney Landscaping Response

Killarney did my landscaping back in 2001. It was a two acre lot and they did the entire property including interlock patios, boulders, plantings and trees and a koi pond with a waterfall. They did an amazing job at a fair price so when I needed work done at my current place I called them first. Given current circumstances they were very busy and I was late contacting them. They managed to squeeze me in replacing my long dead front lawn with riverstone and gardens and did a pretty complex back patio for me. I couldn’t believe they got it all done in a week! Great thing about Killarney is I saved money on a landscape designer as Danny does it all as part of his service. Again I was very pleased with their work and a great crew!Killarney Landscaping Response

My wife and I hired this company for a relatively large landscaping project. We naively trusted the contractor at his word, rather than get everything documented, which we regret. The first red flag was a quotation that missed an entire side of our property that was getting work done. Initially we didn't think the quotation was even for our property. After resolving the confusing quotation, we selected this company and, weeks prior to the work being started, we met with the contractor and we agreed to add a few small things to the job, including a gate to our existing fence, extending a natural gas line (part of existing quote) to our BBQ, and cladding a concrete block in the front of the house to tie in with the installation of new front steps/patio. The majority of the work was done in late June of 2020. Most of the natural gas line installation ended up not being buried. I believe the contractor completely forgot about the request for the extension for the BBQ and, at the side of the house, due to the dry conditions that made the ground pretty hard. Rather than do the job properly, which could have included wetting the ground and/or renting a trencher, the executive decision made without our blessing was to run the line above ground, which is an eyesore. 18 months later, after countless promises, the cladding was never done. We even took the gate off the list early on when it was apparent the promises were empty, in an attempt to focus on the highest priority outstanding work. When it came to the final bill, even though all of the work wasn't done, the contractor wanted to be paid in full (final bill was 40%+ higher than quotation). When I brought up the fact that I wouldn't pay the entire bill until all of the work was done, he became upset and suggested we didn't trust him. He then suggested we not pay $1000 (1.4% of the entire bill) until everything was complete; an amount that certainly isn't a big enough carrot to get anything done. I've learned the hard way to treat these situations as they are, business interactions. Get everything in writing, including any additions to a quote, demand a proper payment schedule with a significant hold back amount until everything is done. We are generally happy with the work that was done (save for the above ground natural gas line), which included design, but we cannot recommend this company.Killarney Landscaping Response

After reading this review we are surprised and a bit disappointed. We had a great interaction with the homeowners . And genuinely got along great. As per our email with the customer on 06/26/20 as well as other compliments and discussions . The invoice was presented in person and the additional items were explained. They suggested I was upset. Which is untrue. I actually said to both Homeowners I will leave the invoice with you when you have time look it over and I can pickup a cheque at another time. Which was done . I offered to take 1000 dollars off the invoice until 3 items were finished in the spring, because techo bloc did not have any being produced until mid December. The cement parging the skidsteer scrapped a 2 inch long indent. And cover the bottom of a 8 inch post. The caps and parging were done the 2 nd week of April.21. The post has not been done and we apologize. The 1000 hold back the customer still has and we have not asked for it. The gas line was buried to the fire pit .The line to the gas meter and BBQ were run along the house . We think all well as the homeowners that the job and the overall project looks fantastic. I have emailed the customer to contact us .
