      We had our driveway done ( paving ) onAugust 26 ,2019 this year early spring we noticed a crack on the left side ,that covers 3/4 length of the driveway ,we immediatly contacted the sale person ****** that seam to also had his company ,attach with wci,,,, after weeks of ignoring us ,finally was saying ill come and see ,then it's too datk , too busy ,,long days. Finally tells us to contact wci ,and that he s no more employed by wci. ,again same story ,,,send emails with pictures ,,copy of our receipt ,,,we have copy of wci and patch and seal receipt ,,,don t know how they do there books ,,we have called and emails all info they wanted, as the weeks are going on ,,the long cracks is opening more , we did what patch and seal ****** said ,to start we a sealer ,would maybe fill the crack ,,we payed 200$ did absolutly nothing. Waist if money ,,,,no one wants to take responsibity on our last call we gave them a week to come check ,or else we would take action ,,still nobody came

      Unfortunately,  we are very short staffed through this pandemic and as a result we are behind on all jobs and services. The weather  (both sweltering heat and rain) have put us behind as well. You are in the queue but I can shed some light on what has probably caused the crack. I know I already sent this information to you on August 9 2021.  We have by no means been ignoring you. I have call logs and e-mails.

      Orleans has been built on a lot of clay which is extremely unstable and is known to shift in the winter. Please take a look at the attached map provided by ******* ********* ****** and identify where you live. You will see that you are located in one of the salmon coloured areas. Orleans is literally sitting in a pool of Leda clay which is what is causing your problem. We do our part by stabilizing the base as much as possible (using proper materials and following proper procedures), but the rest is up to Mother Nature. Keep in mind that clay can shift. Asphalt can only flex so much. I hope this helps you understand better what has occurred to your driveway.

      I requested a picture from you on August 9 2021 but you did not send one (even though in your complaint you stated that you did). I even highlighted the request in my email. Please send me a pic so we can view what the crack looks like. On another note, you did NOT provide an invoice nor a receipt. You sent me a quote. Please provide me an invoice or receipt. If you had your driveway paved in August 26 2019, there is only a one year warranty period.

      *** ******,,,,,,,,first ,the wci as not reached out like said in their response ,yes i had the wrong address for the pictures but on the last phone call from *** to the business they have talked about a video that *** as send ,and offer more if needed,,,and we get their email about Orleans being on clay after the job is done and after emails ,,,,a bit too late to be informed we did say we would take another action ,and its after they send the email for clay areas ,not satisfied at all, *** ******  * *********  ** **** **** *** **** **** ***********   And plus i have described the crack ,how long it is ,,we were told that they had no one in Orleans area ,and we see their trucks on ***** **** turning onto tenth line       When people pay for a service we expect service back  and not ignored

      WCI Ottawa NEVER received pictures nor a video. Re-send the original e-mail showing that you did please. All we received were quotes from you. Please forward ASAP as requested.  We are informing you what the cause of the crack is. I am sorry you do not like the explanation from ******* ********* ******.. It is out of our control. Also, you mentioned that you see a WCI truck in the Orleans area. That is NOT our paving truck. That is a dump truck hauling material for other construction companies.  Has absolutely nothing to do with paving. We have not been in Orleans since last year due to the pandemic and being short staffed.  Please send picture or videos and your invoice as requested. We would like to view the crack so we can positively verify that the crack is due to the clay shifting under your driveway.  Thank you

      *** ******.       I am sorry,,,,,,what i meant was over our last phone called toghether i have offered to send a video  and the crack ,but i                        Was told it wasn t neccessary     I do find tgat companies will come up with excuses like the clay map ,after the facts,,,we were never told that by the sale person ,representing ,working for the company ,,,and also ,Greg himself ,the owner ,,was here to see the driveway ripped out ,,and was here to roll the pavement ,,,,not once he mentionned. Anything,,,,,finding out by other companies after the fact ,,,and trying to get service by WCI,,,,,,we should of been told that if the original base is not removed that you normally don t have a warranty ,,,WE found that out by the sealing company the ****** send us for 200$  the boss of that company told us ,,a lot of misleading    ** **** ***** * ***** **** ** **** ** *** ****** ** ******* ******** *** ***** **** ****** ** ******  ***** ******** ****** **

      I had my driveway done last year, and after the winter have already a long crack on my new driveway which should be repair. .they were suppose to look in to it (in June 2021) and reply to me . After many emails and phone called( never answer and all the time a recording machine for us to get a reply), never received a reply, pretty poor customer service.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I wait until they do the repair, the stipulated that I am in the back log, it will have been nice to respond at my email and phone call with that explanation, which I wouldn’t have to go through BBB
