I am a retired home builder. Prior to retirement, my wife and I designed and built our final residence. It was based on the homes built along the Rideau canal in the eighteenth century, with a limestone exterior and cedar shake shingles. After 20 years of weathering it was obvious that cedar was not as durable in this climate as I had anticipated. Fortunately shingle technology had advanced and we were able to select Wakefield Bridge steel shingles which closely matched new cedar but were warrantied for 50 years.We spoke with and obtained quotes from several roofers. We were most impressed with the professional demeanour and technical knowledge of TORRC. We viewed several homes that they had done and these confirmed the skill and workmanship of the TORRC crews.We were on site during the work. Our crew was very professional, skilled and courteous. Their pace of work was outstanding given the very high quality of the product produced. All observation and the finished product further solidifies my conviction that this is definitely the best roofing company I have ever used.Very well done TORRC!!!

Our house has a complicated roof line so it is a challenging reroofing project. I am an engineer and I am pretty demanding on contractor quality. TORRC did an amazing installation job....they worked quickly and efficiently but their main focus was always quality. We have so many good things to say about TORRC, that we barely know where to begin. ************** ****** and his team are very nice and easy-going people. They are so professional and skilled in their trade. ***** can trouble shoot any problem and execute perfect solutions. I have no doubt that my new roof will outlive me. Very professional, knowledgeable about their product. Answered all our questions and concerns. Made recommendations that made sense for our roof. **** was not a pushy sales rep. *** was rather informative for his product and his competitors. The crew of installers were very professional as well. Worked safely, did not make any unnecessary noise. We are very pleased with the end result. Not only does it make our house stand out in curb appeal, but we have no worries that our roof is not going to be blowing off in a wind storm of any kind. Many of our neighbours have made compliments on how nice it looks. We are very satisfied and happy with our choice of choosing TORRC! We highly recommend them! I'm writing now as we never commented back in 2018, and we still love our **************** steel shingles. The owners were very knowledgeable and helpful when we initially asking about metal roofing. Before we met with *****, we had many asphalt shingles flying off our house or coming loose during windy days, that we were ready for a change. Unfortunately, this had been occurring since 5 years after we built the house! Now, during every strong wind or storm I'm so thankful we went with steel shingles. ***** were friendly, cleaned up any debris and nails, and were quick getting back to us when we wanted a few more ice guards installed.I highly recommend them!************************************TORRC - The Ottawa Roofing & Renovation Co.
