This company is not reliable, trustworthy or transparent in their dealings with customers. They promised the world of good if you go with them but failed to disclose the length of the term they lock you in for. When you try to cancel they hold you ******* for thousands of dollars for units that would cost anywhere from $2000- 4500 per unit including the labour costs. Then on top of that when questioned about increasing cost, the response is it is for inflation for labour cost. to do what??? When asked about maintenance was told that is not included only repairs. Why pay for a service that does not include maintenance. However when asked about the agreed term per contract, and that there is no mention of increasing costs an acceptable response was not provided. This all seems to be a **** and get you trapped in for thousands of dollars for equipment with no exit strategy. their costs is 3-4 times regular market pricing. ********* ** **** **** ** **** ****** ***** **** *** ** **** **** ** **** ********* *** **** ******* ***** **** **** ****** ***** **** ** ** ***** Would never recommend them and they should be investigated **Simply Smart Home Inc Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. At Go Lime, we strive to ensure transparency and clarity in all our dealings, and we regret that our communication may not have met your expectations in this instance. We’d like to address the key points raised in your review: Contract Terms and Pricing: Our buyout calculation and price adjustments are clearly outlined in our Terms & Conditions. During your initial interaction, our team explained these details, including how costs may change over time due to inflation or other factors. However, we understand how important it is for our customers to feel completely informed, and we will work on ensuring even greater clarity in these conversations moving forward. Service and Maintenance: We strive to provide value by including annual maintenance as part of our Flex Plan. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding about this, as our representative did attempt to explain it but was interrupted during the conversation. We followed up via email and also reached out to further clarify this and discuss additional options, but we understand you may have been in a rush at the time. Buyout Options: While purchasing equipment at the time of sale wasn’t an option in this case, our team remains available to discuss buyout alternatives should you wish to explore them further. Company Name Change: The change from Simply Smart Home to Go Lime was part of our ongoing efforts to better serve our customers and reflect our evolving mission. This does not affect the quality or terms of the service we provide. We apologize for any frustration you’ve experienced and remain committed to resolving your concerns. If you have any additional questions or would like to discuss buyout options further, please feel free to contact our team directly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to regain your trust.Review from Mukesh J

I was told by the salesman that Simply Smart would take care of all the paperwork and the return of the AC unit to ********. Only when I called to ask why I was being charged for the AC unit by ******** and also at the same time being charged by Simply Smart I was told by Simply Customer Service that I needed to call ******** to buyout the unit and then they can return it. I have certificates from Simply Smart stating that they have installed the Heat Pump replacing the AC and the furnace heating ******** wanted me to buyout the whole HVAC system not original AC unit . When sent the buyout invoice and information to Simply Support they acknowledged. Simply Smart should take over the buyout and I continue with my rental agreement with Simply Smart . * ** * ** **** *** ****** *** I am very stressed out about the situation - I kept asking what are the next steps and no one from Simply Smart was responding . Further more the longer I do not pay the buyout I get charged with NSF fees and my credit score is going to get affected. ******** has closed my account for the HVAC service. If I had been informed to check with ******** about the buyout before installing the heat pump I would have known not to go ahead with Simply. I was only asked to check about the buyout after heat pump was installed and you could not return it. Additionally they should have reimbursed the full amount they charged me for the 3 months that ******** was also charging me - instead they reimbursed me half the amount that ******** charged me. ***** ******* I would strongly recommend anyone that is approached by door to door sales to not sign up get your buyout quote. Simply will promise you the world but stop responding after the fast installation so that you are way past the cooling time to get out of the contract The two providers ******** and Simply will play ping pong and none will take responsibilityReview from Ben M

I am on a service maintenance plan with Simply Smart for my plumbing and heating. They offer free maintenance for the furnace so I went ahead and scheduled one. It turned out to be more of a chance to sell me a new furnace instead of checking and cleaning my old furnace. *** *** ** **** **** * ******** *** *** * *********** He just merely looked at my furnace and told me that I need a new one. So much for time and money wasted in paying them a monthly plan.Review from Mary S

My senior (85yrs old) mother signed a contract for a hot water tank rental unbeknownst to the family. She is very trusting and was under the impression it was a 5 year rental. It turns out that the contract is for 15 years and the buy out regardless of her already paying for 2 years will be still way more than a new one costs today. Who would think its okay to talk ******* ****** an 82 year elderly women into a 15 year contract. This company has no integrity. I have tried to reason with them on my mother's behalf with no reasonable buyout being offered. I called again this week and was told I would get a callback that day .... as you probably guessed no callback.Review from Som K

Very disappointed with the service and faulty products given. I was happy with my previous water heater and I was tricked by the sales agent to get Simply smart water heater installed. My costs went up from 28.5 a month to 35.59 and this year they again increased the rate by another 6% (they say its part of the contract you signed) I was given a complimentary door bell which stopped working after few months and when I called was told they will charge 99 + tax for the service agent to visit. They don't care of customer satisfaction and I was told to write review if I was not happy.Review from Stana J

They charge $14,000.00 for a unit that cost $4,500.00 and lock you in to a 15 year contract. In my case they double billed for March 2023, it is now July and it has still not been resolved even after sending over multiple copies of bill's proving the double charge (Which, according to them, "they do not have access to") My account has never been delinquent or past due yet the customer service agent (maniger) accused use multiple times of "not paying the bill" as the explanation for the double charge. As they can't see the bill I did ask if I should be getting in contact with ******** in regard to this matter and was told " no pay the bill in full and we will credit you", however 3 weeks later when I once again asked if I should contact ******** I was told yes. So which is it?.... ******* **** ******* ** *** **** ******** **** *** * ******* *** **** ** *** ***** *** *** ****** ****** *** ** **** ****** **** ** *********** **** *** **** ** ******** **** ***** Now thier switching to auto billing and are requiring void checks or account information so that they can just directly take money out of an account for the bill. The way I see it is if your billing dipartment can't get this resolved in 4 months why am I gonna give you my account information so that you can just go into my account and take out whatever you want? Oh and it's $5 for paper invoiceing.... there isn't even a paperless email option unless you do auto pay.Review from Govinder Singh S

Worst Customer Service - Hidden Terms & Conditions in the contract Request everyone to please go through terms and conditions of renting out any equipment or services from Simply Smart Home. I and my friend for 2 houses on Edenbrook Hill Drive Brampton rented the water heater in 2020 and since then it's a nightmare for us. First there were installation issues in my friend's house - water seepage happened in the floor tiles of Laundry area. Second - they told us bill will remain at 49+taxes for entire contract period which now stands at $63 and as per customer service it will keep increasing every year. Third - Once I complained about water heater not working and it took them 3 days to respond - this is their general response time. Fourth - I came to know today that I am in contract with them for 18 years which their agents never walked me through contract terms. In last 3 years they have done the service of the equipment just once whereas initially they had mentioned servicing every 6 months. I again suggest everyone PLEASE READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP WITH SIMPLYSMART HOME. They have many hidden terms the agent will not let you know. ******** *****
