We contacted several windows companies to get a quote for our angle top windows. Our ask was triple pane casement windows that were 36" x 72" and would open. However, we found out that the maximum width companies would warranty is 32" in width. Then came along Canadian Choice and their salesman promising that such sizes (36x72) were doable and that they could complete and install them with no problem. So we proceeded to go with Canadian Choice and signed the contract. A week later, the salesman called me saying that after talking to the engineering department the original size was too big to complete under warranty. In order to warranty them, they would need to add fiberglass support to the frame to strengthen it. (More money) A few days after another call from the salesman saying that even with fiberglass support the windows couldn't be warrantied. He said only way to warranty them is to upgrade to their new slimlock+ system and then they could be warrantied. (More money) The process repeated itself when the salesman called and said the windows couldn't be warrantied at all in Casement style but had to be upgraded to Euro style and thennnnn they could finally be warrantied. ( More money) We preferred casement over Euro style and didn't want to spend more money to get something less desirable. We told them if the windows couldn't be completed for the original price then to refund. They chose to refund the money. The difference was $300. I guess they couldn't afford it. Not to mention the process wasted 1 month of our time with no results. ** ***** ** ** ****** * ****** ** *** ******** **** **** ********  Also, we still have not heard from anybody else within their company regarding our experience. Along the process we heard statement like: You shouldn't complain, the windows are basically free"Windows = $9,300 We could have just installed the windows and when they broke we could have easily blamed it on human error

Canadian Choice Windows has a warranty that is misleading. The 25-year warranty is false. The window glass has only a ONE (1) year warranty. One of our windows developed a 3-foot crack, 13 months after installation. NOT covered by the warranty. Canadian Choice Windows wants almost $300 to replace the glass. Their "Consumer Care Team" could not help with this issue. The Website statement... "A 25-year transferable warranty" and "A warranty is a promise we deliver to our customers. It’s our promise that no matter the situation, we’ve got your back. We come to resolve the problem at NO cost to you." "Most of our competitors only cover the products themselves. We ensure that all parts as well as labour are covered under our all-inclusive warranty." How can a Canadian Choice Windows state a 25-year warranty and then through deception then state another 1-year warranty for window glass. Would this possibly be fraud?

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding our warranty coverage. We understand your concerns about the discrepancy between the advertised 25-year warranty and the actual coverage for window glass. It's important to note that our warranty documentation clearly outlines exclusions, including glass breakage, which is covered by the manufacturer's one-year warranty due to the nature of glass. We appreciate your understanding and want to assure you that we are committed to providing transparent communication about our warranty terms. If you have any further questions or need assistance with your window repair, please don't hesitate to contact our Consumer Care Team.

The experience was a nightmare start to finish. I will say that now, my installed windows, with all the repairs that were required, 15 months after contracting them, are now working well, are not damaged, etc. however they were not left cleaned, the sales person didn't know the product and ensured me he could do something they apparently cannot do. Then the company tried to charge me to replace that window. The worst part of it all though - their customer service is atrocious. Many months of delays and the only way I ever knew was because I would follow up. They took my $10,000 deposit, told me a 2 month wait and never contacted me to tell me of the one month, then two month, then three month which eventually led to a 5 month delay installation - all of which required me, the paying customer, to follow up and ask for updates.I am sympathetic to the supply chain issues that have impacted many businesses, I am not at all sympathetic to ignoring a paying customer. When people ask me "Which window company should we use?" the only reply I can give is "I know which one not to use....Canadian Choice!"
