Clera Windows has treated us very unprofessional. They take no accountability, and just blame their CUSTOMERS. there is obviously no quality control where the windows are made, and before they leave the factory. This should never have left the factory and been installed like this!!! They expected me to pay the full amount (minus $500) THE DAY THE INSTALL GUY LEFT. Raj threatened legal action ***the very next day after the installation*** and leaving us with all these quality issues. He tried telling us they would send their quality technician out ***after*** we made the full payment. We had already paid a large portion. we would not have that, and be left with all these issues. how can we trust clera will fix everything if we pay in full, especially with the way they have treated us so far? There are cracks/holes in window casings, installed wrong windows in wrong rooms (master was to be 2 triple pane windows for noise surpression, while the other bedroom was to be double). Some windows are very tight/hard to lock/unlock, large dining room window out of plum, hole in a screen, several dents in screens, silicone was filled in window casing on large main window casing to supposedly hide a hole (did the hope the customer wouldnt notice? Someone noticed the issue, and tried to conceal it. nobody including the installer or clera has pointed out any issues except for us), window winder just falls off. we shouldn’t have all these issues with brand new windows either! why should i pay in full prior to the job being finished? There was only 1 guy who advertises that he works for another window company installing our NINE windows. He said Clera didn't even pay him for the last job. He also tried to leave old rotted wood frames and insert the new windows into them. Everything was just sooo unprofessional and left us regretting going with Clera for our windows. Most of the windows won't lock. I had my entire house done except for one window. Many of them are broken. They now want $600 to fix them. This would not be the 1st time they've come to try and get them to lock. I can go and pick up the parts no charge. Rita The Service Manager is the best thing at this company over the top helpful! Customer beware - PLEASE make sure you ask your salesperson if this is the first time they are using a specific crew. If it is RUN!!!!! Save yourself the headache of amateurs wrecking your home then having to fight for months for the company to pay for /deal with the damage caused by the crew that they hired to represent them. They are getting 3 Stars - ONLY because of Rita - and the second crew they sent in to completely redo the job. The windows are lovely - but the months it took this company to get it right....wasn't worth it.

My door latch broke on my patio door purchased back in 1998 before it was called Clera. . I reached out to Rita who found the old contract and company that made the doors. She found company no longer in business but offered to research to see if she could find part. She also suggested to search patio door part suppliers and I was able to find part in Alberta. Thank you Rita for your help and professionalism as many companies just ignore these kind of requests as it is not helping their bottom line.Clera Windows & Doors Response

Clera Windows have a Great install Team and have always replaced broken Hardware for free. That said, the product quality is middle to low. 1) The Window Cranks wear substantially over time ( 4 to 5 years ) and become very loose. We've replaced several handles. 2) We experienced a Pressure Crack in one of our windows at year 6. This is the first time I've ever seen this happen to a window and cracks are not covered under the warranty. Replacement is targeted at 30 % off of list which is a great offer for a loyal customer seeking to remedy an accidental break or additional windows. It's not compelling for replacement of a broken window due to natural use. In the future I would look for manufacturer who offers a warranty that is more comprehensive. Overall: The company provides GREAT service There are a couple of Product shortcomings that hurt the overall Customer Experience.Review from Laura A

We used Clera Windows and Doors to replace the original home builder windows in our home. The Clera team did a great job. Juri and his team showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the project quickly and as scheduled. Clera has been responsive and took steps to address all my warranty concerns despite it being a few years after the original install date. I'm glad I decided to go with them for the windows and doors even though they were a little more expensive than the competitors here in the GTA. At the end of the day excellent service matters and not having to worry about getting the run around from a business is worth it.
