I was charged by **** Brigley on 3 separate occasions:July 17th 2023 for $5650.00 August 17th 2023 for $5650.00 September 17th 2023 for $5650.00 The business committed to provide me coaching on how to grow a coaching business. ****'s program crossed boundaries into the role of psychotherapy. **** is not a mental health professional (I'm a therapist). You need a license to practice psychotherapy. **** said she primarily uses the modality of Attachment Theory with clients. I expressed to **** my concern that this approach my cause harm, particulalry trauma to her clients. **** also didn't deliver on "fast tracking" me, teaching me how to "craft talks", and she also claimed to know people in the city she would introduce me to who may be useful in growing my coaching business. There was NO contract signed when I joined her program. **** doesn't inform consumers of her "no refund" policy. It's not on her website, she didn't verablize it during the sale, and since she doesn't have clients sign a contract when joining her program, it's not found there either. After 8 sessions with **** (there were supposed to be 18 sessions), I ended my involvement in her program due to concerns about her trying to provide ************. I asked for half the money to be returned and she refused. Due to the refusal I've had to hire a lawyer and we will be filing a claim in the next couple of weeks. We sent a demand letter to ****, which she ignored. **** also has recordings of me, which the demand letter told her turn over and delete. She doesn't have a privacy policy on her website and doesn't provide clients with one when they join her program. I worry what she may do with the recordings of me out of retaliation. My attorney reported her to the privacy commisioner. I would like your help facilitating a refund from **** in the full amount (or at least for the unused sessions). I'm hoping this doesn't have to go to court but due to **** being unresponsive it may have to go that route.

      Business response

      04/04/2024

I want to acknowledge your request to be in communication before 10 calendar days. I have sent this complaint to my lawyer and have been waiting for his counsel to respond. I am aware that the deadline is tomorrow.

As to not breach confidentiality with ****************** can acknowledge that she worked with me for 3 months and after three months she said that she did not want to continue with my services.

On Friday December 8, 2023 she sent me a message saying, "**** you should be ashamed of yourself. Please know I've been actively sharing your scam with everyone...especially in the city. It seems that it is costing you potential clients and your reputation. Is the 8K you owe me really worth that to you? I will not stop sharing what happened with anyone and everyone. You simply don't have the money to return. You're clearly broke. I had another meeting with my lawyer. I suggest you hire one because I am taking you all the way to court.. We're prepared and you will be receiving a letter shortly. You're a total scam. I hope you find peace in your heart you spent my money. Next time I will see you in court. Cheers and happy holidays. "

She also sent me a message saying, "****, I did a quick reflection after our call. I'm embarrassed how I showed up today. Most definitely not as my best self. I do have several things going on personally that unfortunately resulted in poor behaviour. I'm wondering if you're available to hop on a call and I can explain what is going on. I'm sorry for showing up that way."

"Thank you. I truly appreciate all those kind words. You are an incredible example of what it means to be a leader, live with integrity and as a coach."

I contacted ******************************* on Boxing Day when I received the letter from her lawyer so I was in communication, I did not ignore his letter. I also have phone records and messages documented about that.

After the lawyers got involved I continued to receive messages from ******** on social media. She posted a ****** review that ****** took down and reported it as "Hate". She posted another one right after and that was is still on ******. She was upset after ****** took down her review (I cannot take off a ****** review) and she then proceeded to post reviews on my social media pages.
She also called me a scammer on her social media profiles and made a comment "If you are looking to hire **** Brigley as a coach in 2024 call me first because I have some insights I want to share."

That day my phone blew up with people asking me if I saw it.

I have a solid reputation in my city and I was recently on the cover of a prominent local magazine and featured in another magazine. **** messaged me saying, "I am going to make it my personal mission to tarnish your reputation." I block her from social media and my phone because I was questioning her mental health and knowing lawyers were getting involved I did not want her to continue building up my case against her.  Her harassment was relentless for 2 days straight.

I stopped attending local networking groups I was active in because of her talking badly about me there too. I have screen shots of everything people sent me.

When speaking with lawyers they said that because of my reputation locally and abroad that I could *** her for defamation. I did not and do not want to do this.

I have my honours in psychology and bachelours in Education as well as a certificate in treating Anti-social personality disorders. I do not apply attachment theory modalities or any other therapeutic techniques. I work in the ontological space and focus on BEING. I am a coach and ask questions. I have 2 certifications from an ICF accredited coaching program and have 40 five-star ****** reviews and 210 five-star reviews on my business page. In my 8 years of coaching I have never had a complaint in fact the opposite is true. People transform their lives when working with me. I have saved marriages, helped people create businesses and have served thousands of people around the world. On top of this I have well over 5000 hours of personal development and training and over 10, 000 hours of coaching experience. I have trained hundreds of people at one time and speak on international stages.

*************************** has access training courses that took me years to develop and cost me 10's of thousands of dollars. I still have not revoked her access to them to stay in integrity with her purchase.

Clearly you can see there is a no refund policy agreement that she had to check a box before issuing payment and she sent 3 monthly payments (for a 6 month program). I even sent her client referrals and connected her with women's networking groups that I am involved in.

The coaching process can be triggering especially when people are confronted. This is*** will likely be taken to the next level with her and her lawyers unless she ceases and desists. We have put in a request for her to rescind this complaint to you based on her blatantly false accusations.

It is my hopes that ******** sees this as a learning opportunity and can grow from this experience. I do not believe I owe her anything. This is a case of buyers remorse and a realization that she does not have what it takes to grow a coaching business.

Thank you for your consideration. If you require further documentation I can provide screen shots and messages over 3 months of harassment from ********.

      **** Brigley
