We hired Condo Handyman to replace wood floors throughout and to renovate the kitchen in our condo. On October 13, 2020 renovation proposal contract was agreed upon and signed. On October 22, 2020, a deposit of 25% was paid in the amount of $5,722.12 + HST. The renovation to the floors and kitchen were 90% finished January 29, 2021. Payments were made December 16, 2020 and January 29, 2021 in the amounts of $12,931.99 and $8,124.25. The last payment was withheld due to deficiencies to gaps in flooring at transitions, kitchen cabinet door not level, drywall gaps behind stove. These deficiencies were pointed out but not addressed. In August 2021, our kitchen sink had a leak and was covered under warranty. Because of the outstanding balance, Condo Handyman would not honour the warranty until balance ($649.99) was paid. (We have proof of this statement in email) . On August 20, 2021, we paid the balance because we felt it urgent to have the leak fixed. The leak was fixed on this date but no other deficiencies were addressed. We have repeatedly tried to call and email to have someone from Condo Handyman come fix our issues. They keep making excuses that no one is available. It's been more than a year since they were hired. We paid a total of $27,522.28, Condo Handyman have been paid in full. It's inexcusable to not have our job finished to our level of satisfaction. All we ask is for the issues to be repaired in a timely manner.
