I cancelled my internet service with North Frontenac telephone Elgin corp in July of 2023. There was a credit on my account and they still haven't put the credit on my credit card. I would like this issue resolved with a credit to my credit card.Initial Complaint

I disconnected my internet/TV services from nftc on 07/21/2023. I moved to a non-servicable nftc area and was issued a credit to my account for over payment. I have been receiving credit statements from nftc since July 2023, and have called every month. I was assured since August that I would be receiving a refund cheque forthwith. Which I have still not recieved. The manager refused to speak with me last time, and the customer service agent I spoke with, did not understand why nftc was not issuing the credit. I would like my balance of 100.54 refunded, with interest.Initial Complaint

This has been an ongoing issue with this company, My mom has cancer and needs to be contacted for dates of treatments and test results and her phone is never working and when she calls they give her a run around saying they would be there and never show up or that they are working on it and it never gets fixed, This is a horrible company and they will not allow anyone else to come in like ****. because they own the lines her phone has been on and off for about 2months now and they seem to be doing nothing. She needs this as her cell phone doesn't work where she is and to be honest I think they should be shut down and now that they were bought up by a company in toronto its got even worse Please helpInitial Complaint

I was charged a month's usage for internet services AFTER cancellation November 2022 by North Frontenac Telecom Company. Total charged on my **** December 2022 was $161.53. We handed our hardware back in immediately in good operating as requested by NFTC. I had to put a stop payment on North Frontenac through ****. I have e-mailed and phoned from the initial cancellation request in November 2022, and tried to resolve the credit owing from January 2023 all the way through to October 2023 at least once a month. I am always promised my payment is "In Que" and should be sent within a week or two. I was suppose to initially receive a refund for my credit on my account March 2023. My local sales representative will not do anything but direct me to customer support. I continue to receive monthly mailed paper statements with a credit showing on my account. I see people on social media and reviews of the company online all complaining about the same thing. I would really just like my $161.53 back for services I did not receive. It has now roughly been 1 year since I first contacted them about this issue with no resoluton.Initial Complaint

This company provided internet service to my rural home for a few years without issue. The services included wireless internet which worked well within the limitations of this service (service outages due to weather/equipment issue). Another company installed fibre internet on my road and was able to provide a fibre service into my home with much faster service at a small monthly fee. I switched services and cancelled my service with North Frontenac Telephone company once it was up and working. I promenty cancelled my services. I contacted them several times via email and telephone and after being assured many times my service was cancelled, I was billed for serviced cancelled. Now I have a credit on my account and they refuse to issue a refund after 6 months of asking. They had no issue billing my credit card for the cancelled services, but seam to be reluctant to issue a refund the same. I have called to cancel my internet two times in the last two weeks as I am moving. Every time I call they keep telling me that they will have someone call me back to cancel. I am still waiting for a phone call. I called at the end of my billing cycle. I have asked if there is a different number I can call they have told me it is the right number. I was contacted at my door by a NFTC representative selling the new service that they were installing in the area. This included home phone x 2 lines, Internet and Cable TV for two residents on the property. I contacted this company many times and they won't even answer my voicemails or emails, or messages sent on their online portal. I explained to them in writing that it was critical that there was no interruption of service *** ** ** *********** ****** ****** *********** *** ****** ** * ******** *** ******* ******* 1 month later ...not even a response. This company damaged my property and to date the only thing that works is the internet... I have tried again on multiple occasions to contact them to rectify this issue and I have received not one response. Today I actually received a bill for $500 for their service **** **** *** *** **** *******. I sent messages to them, but no reply to date. * ** * ******* ***** ** ***** ** ******** * ** ** ******** **** ** ***** ** ***** ** ******* * ***** **** ******** **** ***** ******* I not paying them a cent for their lack of service, I want their equipment out of my home effective Nov 3rd and I want any damage done to my home inside and out remediated at no cost to me
