About two years ago, a reached out to one of their sister companies for a quote on upholstery cleaning. Without my consent, they added my email to their mailing list for that company, a housecleaning company, and a blind cleaning company all based out of the same address on Canoteck Rd in Orleans. When I first contacted them to complain, I was told there was nothing they could do about removing my email from the list. Multiple complaints about multiple emails later, they told me they removed my email. After receiving even more emails and complaining yet again, they added an 'unsubscribe' option to their emails so I followed those steps and thought the situation was resolved. Imagine my surprise to receive an email from Y&M Maintenance and Cleaning (at the same Canotck Rd address) this weekend. It appears the owners have opened yet another company and are using their old mailing list to drum up business. When I contacted them to complain I was told to stop emailing them because 'they don't know me.' Further emails this weekend saw them blaming their web provider for subscribing me to yet another email list for their company even though I have asked multiple times, multiple ways, over the course of months to stop receiving communications from them. I am not interested in unsubscribing from a new mailing list every time they open a new company. I feel their business practices are in direct opposition to CASL legislation. I would like the *** to investigate their business practices, warn other consumers that they are not using customer data appropriately and, if possible, to put a stop to these unwanted emails. She subscribe back in 2020 in ******* portal which is we are using ******* for emali marketing and some of the out websites. she subscribe her self and she provide, her address, phone number, full name and email. but she is blames us for geting marketing emails she saying we subscribe her.
how we can subscribe her? She provide her personal informations.
this case not relative with our compnay or management no one pushed her to the subscribe we can’t unsubscribe her she need to do her self.
she must login ******* and delete subscription so simple bc she signup she must now how to login.
pleas can you ask her if she received marketing email from ******* or not?

I am rejecting this response because:I asked for a quote from the company "****** ******" in 2020. I would never have subscribed to their marketing emails because I ALWAYS decline that option. I shortly thereafter started receiving marketing emails from the companies "****** *** ******" and "***** **** ********." I never even heard of these secondary companies before I started receiving their marketing emails. All three companies (and now Y&M) have the same business address. I traded MULTIPLE emails with the company to get off their mailing lists over months and was told at multiple times a) they couldn't do anything, b) they went in and manually removed my contact information, and c) that I could unsubscribe myself. I unsubscribed MULTIPLE times and the emails finally stopped. Until this weekend when I got a message from Y&M.
It looks like there is one parent company that keeps reusing the emails they collect every time they open a new company. I never gave my permission to be contacted with marketing materials, I especially never gave it to Y&M, so they are misusing my personal information.
Yesterday, I received two threats of legal action for pursing this issue, and then someone from the company started calling me. If they still have my phone number from 2020 when I requested a quote from ****** ******, but now it's Y&M using it to try and resolve this issue, they are once again misusing my personal information. I never gave this new company permission to contact me.
I am not satisfied with their response because they are not taking responsibility for their illegal business practices. I want them to stop contacting me and I want someone (the *** or CRTC, where I also opened a file yesterday) to put a stop to their misuse of customer information.

If you have issues with ****** ****** call and ask them to fix if u never get service from y&m why u making a complaint and harassing no one can get your information and subscribe somewhere all you keep sending us threatening fully hate speech emails and blaming us to threatening no we don’t threaten your emails and messages. As we said back in 2020 you subscribe yourself in the portal no one can you?

I am rejecting this response because:I never signed up for any marketing messages from Y&M so how did I find out about their business? I don't know who they are. But they do share a business address with ****** *****, ****** *** ****** and ***** **** ********, leading me to believe they are all the same company and are sharing email mailing lists.
In some correspondence they say I have been removed from their mailing lists and in others they tell me I have to contact *** to have it done. I believe they should take the steps necessary to remove me from all future emails from them. (Both ******************** and **********************, both of which have been ******* by their companies in the past.)
I am now being harassed by this company. They have threatened me with legal action several times this morning (CCing a lawyer on those threats) and are now accusing me of hate speech. Speaking my truth is not hate speech. I just want to stop being contacted by this company.
