In 2019 we did a kitchen renovation. Shortly after a year we started feeling movement in the floor, tiles popping when walked on, grout coming and we even had a tile crack. We also had a crack from floor to ceiling where we had a doorway blocked off. We contacted the company they came out to look at it. A few months later the finally back come to fix the broken tile and add new grout. (they pushed us off due to Covid). They said they would fix the wall too and that never happened. A few weeks later the grout continued to come out and tiles were still popping in different locations. I emailed them back and stressed my concerns that the floor was not installed properly as this is still happening. They offered a solution that I thought was a quick fix and not good enough and would not fix the problem. He offered to put an epoxy glue. This would not solve the problem. It's a temporary fix. Months had gone by and I never heard back from him. I had sent a few emails asking him to respond. I had a few contactors come out to look at the floor, they all told me that his solution to fix the floor (epoxy glue) would not solve the problem and that it would just continue and that the floor needed to be replaced. I even went a step further from the recommendation of one of the contractors to contact ******** (the subfloor (ditra) they used). Someone came out and did an inspection and it was determined that movement joints were not installed and this is what was causing the problem to the flooring. ******** sent me a report on this. They believe he is responsible to replace the floor at no me cost to me as it was their error. I sent the report to him and asked what he would do about fixing this? Seeing as the floor was not installed properly he should be responsible to replace it at his cost. I told him if he was not able to do it he could issue refund and I would have someone else to replace the floor. No response? Any help or direction would be appreciated
