I had an issue with my gas oven and I called Mr. Appliance to make an appointment to have it fixed. I was told the charge would be $119.00 = tx to have a technician come to the house to diagnose the problem. I was also told that if I was to have work complete, the $119.00 would be prorated into the invoice. I had to have the oven igniter replaced. After the job was completed, I was presented a bill of $329.35 + tx which equalled $372.17 for the work done. I thought it was rather expensive. I called the office to request an itemized bill breakdown as to what the part cost, the labour cost, just so I could have a better understanding of the charge. I called the office to request this document and I was told they don't do that. I said no problem and that I would contact the BBB to have the situation rectified at which point , they hung up on me. I am looking for a breakdown of the charges so I can see the Labour charges, the part charge and how the $119.00 for the service call was handled in the billing.Business response
