My husbands purchased gift card of 300 dollars and bonus session of inhalation at the Guelph Nature's Salt Cave in Guelph. I spoke with a the owner regarding the expiration as we moved and then covid-19 happened they said there is none and just to book before coming in as they won't offer cash back. I called and booked spas for my moms birthday and my best friend joined as I live hours away and wanted to use it up. I entered the building and ask the owner to explain the sessions for inhalation as I'm new to Salt Cave, she says we don't take those gift cards i was like pardon she said she is new owner and they are not valid. I canceled service and she was ********* saying she cant loose money and this is not her problem I was very upset and left as I drove hour to and from home took time off work and had my friend miss work and then I'm out 300 dollars and there was no respect to I will help with 1 spa nothing.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/27) */ Nature's Salt Cave has existed since 2013. The previous owners of the company sold out the gift cards by 2016 and never ordered them again. The company was purchased by the new merchant in January, 2021 and never offered any gift cards for purchase. Upon acquisition, only the name of the company remained and the leased premises due to the operations under the new ownership. The cards that are being referred to by the customer were the said cards purchased in or prior to 2016. The customer had at least 5 years to redeem the services with the previous owners, but failed to do so. It is the customer's responsibility to take this issue up with the previous owners as the terminals used to issue the aforementioned gift cards ceased to exist prior to acquisition. The new terminals do not have an account with the previous service provider for the gift cards, and the system will not acknowledge the customer's cards. The current owner did their best to explain this to the customer but the customer would not acknowledge the information. Supporting documentation from ******* is available.
