    The following is the email I received from the owner of Hamitlon Cab after trying many times to get a response after one of their drivers backed up into me and knocked me on the pavement after I left the cab.

    "Hi,

    We had asked our driver who had transported you about this incident. He had informed us that his car did not hit you at all. If his car had hit you, you would have been thrown on the ground and would have been injured.

    He was kind enough to help you to cross the road.

    If you were hit, you could not walk.

    It looks like you just want to get free ride. You have used our services only once in this year.

    We do give free rides to customers if we do not perform to our standards, but, our driver has performed his job above average taxi driver.
    Please stop harassing us.

    ***************************************** There was another woman, a passerby who screamed and then came to help get me up (I am 68 years-old) as did the driver. If the driver had not hit me and knocked me down, why did he help me get up and cross the street? The driver was very apologetic but I am still hurting from the impact on my backside and hip. I thought he should at least refund me the fare.

    I think the owner ************************** shouldn't treat people this way when he is in a business that is supposed to cater to people.

    None of our cab hit this person and she wants free rides. The cab did not even touch her, our driver helped her cross road like we do to other seniors. If our cab would have hit her, she would be knocked down on the ground as she claims. But, she was perfectly fine, never fallen on the ground, she was perfectly fine to cross the road and thanked our driver.
    After few hours, she started asking us to give her free rides. If she was hit, she would have asked the driver right away, she should have called police and got our driver charged and should have gone to the hospital
    She has sent us numerous messages to just get free rides.

    *******************************************************. We transport 1.5 million passenger a year and are in business for 99 years. I myself in taxi business over 32 years.
    We take care of our customers, but, do not want to give free people who just want some excuses to get free rides. Then, it becomes a precedent and more and more people want free rides.
    Instead, we help 40 local charities to take care of our community.

    The response from Hamilton Cab is false. I wouldn't have gone to the trouble to report the incident to the BBB if it did not happen. I certainly won't take another taxi ride from this company.
