In March 2018, I hired Over the Top to replace the roof on my home. At first, I thought they did a great job. The work was completed quickly and looked nice. Fast forward to the spring of 2022 and my roof is now leaking. According to my invoice, and their website (which no longer exists), they offer a 20 year warranty and a satisfaction guarantee. So, I called the company and left 3 voicemail messages with no reply. I then sent a text, an email, and a Facebook message. ****** replied to my email saying he’d have a crew at my house the next week. No one showed. After a follow-up email, and a phone call from my mom, someone came and looked at the roof and I was told the chimney needs new flashing. Despite me telling ****** that the leak was on the opposite side of the house and that, unless water can flow against gravity, the leak has nothing to do with the chimney, he sent someone to install new flashing around the chimney. The workmanship on the new flashing is shoddy to say the least and it looks terrible. Not only does it look terrible, but, as I expected, it didn’t fix the problem. The roof is still leaking! It’s been leaking now for so long that it’s caused water damage to the drywall and cupboards in my kitchen too! On July 28th, I sent an email informing ****** that the new flashing did not fix the problem and that my roof was still leaking. No response. I sent a follow up email on August 29th. No response. It’s been 4 months since I first contacted Over the Top about the leak. It is now September 26th, we’re heading into fall/winter, and my roof is still leaking!
