    I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Kona from Hawkesbury Hyundai at the beginning of June 2021. My wife and I had dealt with that dealership before. When the salesperson ****** ***** came to our house to discuss the purchase a few days before, I had requested four brand new winter tires and rims free of charge. Right away, ****** contacted someone from the dealership over the phone to see if this was doable. He said, "Done." I decided to buy the car and provided my banking information. When ****** delivered my new Kona, he had me sign the paperwork. The payments were to start in a little while, so I set everything aside. After a couple of weeks, I looked at the papers to see exactly when the payments would start. That's when I noticed that a $1,000 charge had been added for 4 winter tires and rims. Right away, I called ****** to ask him about it. He said it was normal and that this was for insurance purposes. He said that if we got the tires stolen, we'd need proof for the insurance company that we had these tires. Then, he proceeded to tell me that it was taken out from the amount. When I told him we didn't see that anywhere, he said he would come over and explain it. A couple of days later, he comes over, and my wife and I met him outside. He then said it was for the insurance and that nothing in life was free. He asked us if we were happy with the payments. We said we were ok with them but would have preferred not to pay for tires and rims we were supposed to get for free. He said that the only thing that mattered was that we were ok with the payments. Come end of August, I noticed no payments had gone through. I found out that Scotia Bank was unable to process the payments in August 2021 as scheduled because Hawkesbury Hyundai had given the lender the wrong banking information, i.e., my old baking information they had kept on file, which affected my credit rating. I want my credit corrected and a reimbursement of $1,000 plus all interest for the tires and rims.
