      We rented from M &C Vacation rentals and like so many others, have been fighting to get our security deposit refunded. ***** ******** has confirmed in writing on WhatsApp that we are owed $545.00 and "claims" that it will be posted as a credit on our visa. It has been more than 60 days since we left her rental and the contract said 30 days. She has blocked me and hung up on my husband. We are seniors on fixed income and this business is taking advantage of people. She claimed her unit was "luxury".....HaHa....far from it. I have the pictures to prove otherwise.

      Extremely ungreatful Clients, very disrespectful, not abiding by the rules of property. Harassing Owner of the property nom she property non stop. As per contract signed, last electricity bill must be received prior to release of security deposit. They were fully informed of last invoice pending which was respectfully deducted from their deposit and remaining amount was refunded back on their credit card/ original form of payment. They were also advised to contact their credit card provider to obtain funds or time frame refund will be posted

      I am rejecting this response because:  I have contacted my credit card company and they have no record of a refund being issued for my security deposit.  It is now June 15. On May 12 I have documented text from business that a refund of $545 would be issued.  I have repeatedly asked for documentation or proof of a refund being issued so that I have something to show my credit card company and she has blocked me and/or hung up the phone when asked for this PROOF of a refund.  I do not believe she has ever issued this refund....if she did, she would happily provide proof.  If you look at the other 6 complaints against this business they ALL are the same issue....NOT REFUNDING SECURITY DEPOSITS.

      As to her absurd allegations of disrespectful behaviour on our part, I have copies of text where she told us to instruct the cleaning ladies...and I quote.."Make her work, I mean it.  Sometimes this people needs to be pushed and always controled".  

      We paid this business over $5000 a good 10 weeks before our arrival and NOTHING was cleaned or repaired post-covid when we arrived.  It was clear that NOTHING had been maintained for a full 2 years.  The key pad lock was broken and we couldn't even get in, the internet was broken, the TV's were broken, we had no hot water, there was a hole in the pipe under the bathroom sink, the toilets had permanent rust stains the width of the bowls, there were no batteries for any of the remotes, the shade blinds were corroded and un-workable, the air conditioning unit in the bedroom did not work and there were dead bugs everywhere....and most insulting of all, upon our arrival there was not ONE SHEET OF TOILET PAPER anywhere in the unit.  We were told there would be an on-site manager, her brother-in-law whom we never met once during our 3 month stay.  The building manager that was there would not help her or any of her tenants because they had had problems with her in the past.  This unit had been marketed as a "LUXURY" condo.  What a scam.

      All I want is a refund of my security deposit and to never have to think of this business or person again.

      In December of 2021 we sent M&C Vacation rentals over $3,000 for a property rental in the Dominican. A week before we were to fly out. *****, the owner called to say the rental was flooded, so we could not stay there. She also told us she would refund us in full. We have called, emailed, sent a lawyer’s letter, but she has ignored it all. Please help.

      I rented a cottage from M&C Vacation Rentals last year September 2020. I paid a $500 security deposit which was supposed to be returned automatically within 10 business days after the stay was over. I became aware my deposit was never refunded back in May 2020 and reached out. She responded that she had to check her files which took a few months. I continued to follow up and she acknowledge it was not returned but she was limited in what she could send back. She continued to delay with extending her date on when it would be returned but it still has not been returned.

      We rented a cottage from August 29 till September 3rd. Payed cash and included a $500.00 refundable deposit. In our contract it says a full refund will be sent back in up to 10 business days. So by September 20th ide have it. I contacted them a few days after our 10 days and asked whats up. She said it should be coming any day now. It's now been more than double the time and still no refund.       My family and I stayed at the cottage on ** ******* ** ******** from Aug 2nd to 9th, 2021. We signed a contract on Feb 19, 2021 with M&C Vacation and sent our deposit the same day. The contract indicated that our deposit would be given back 10 days after our departure. I message ***** *******, ***** of the cottage on Aug 9th and she indicated the same as the contract, that our deposit will be given back within 10 business days. Here we are Sept 14th and have not received our deposit back. Furthermore, M&C Vacations advertises on their website a beautiful dock which in reality is a H&S issue. The stairs going down are dangerous, broken and no railing, and the dock itself is in bad condition. She also advertises that is a 5 min walk to swimming area which is not true. Finally, the worse part on this whole experience is that there are cameras all over the property, one in question might be in the house and a ring door bell. Which we saw she accessed. No mention of cameras in the contract.
