Hired Greenshield in April to take care of a minor bed bug situation, at their assessment it was considered low showing fewer than 10 bugs in 2 bedrooms. Aprox 3 weeks later on April 27 they returned for an inspection at which time no live bugs had been seen and no bites had occurred. Aprox the end of August my son had started seeing a couple of bugs, at which time I called the company wanting to speak to the tech that came but was redirected by the ****** ******* that an inspection would have to be done at an additional cost. Again, asking if I could speak with the tech but was denied, redirecting me to an inspection. At the time I had not seen the bugs myself to confirm if they were alive or dead and had hoped that it was normal to see them this long after treatment. If I had had been able to speak to the tech I would have been able to confirm this. On Sept 20th my son showed me a live bed bug at which time I called the company again to speak to a manager to resolve this situation. Every time I requested to speak to someone else, the ****** ******* again attempted to redirect me; I’m guessing to resolve this herself. After asking my name she pulled my file and again said that I would have to pay for an inspection for anything to be done, when I finally insisted that I speak to someone else she told me that he was away and would not be able to get back to me until Friday, Sept 23. When I originally had the tech in to do the service, he reassured me that the product that they are now using is new in Canada and not many other companies are using it but is very effective. I was verbally told what the product is but did not write it down. This product is supposed to be active for 3 months which is why they feel it is so effective as it lasts for the length of the lifecycle of the bug. I do not feel that the company is living up to their claim on their website of “…Insect Free Guaranteed” pictured below.
