    I had several projects to be done (painting, plumbing, garage apron repair, etc.) so I contacted Handyman connection on Aug 2nd and they sent me Nigel to give me an estimate. Everything went well when he was here, and he agrees to give me an estimate on several projects the next day. After he left, Nigel was not responsive at all....no callback, no text until a week later he gave me an estimate but only on the painting. I never got any other estimates to this date. Then it became really unacceptable. Nigel agreed to do the apron repair first because it has to be done before I replace my driveway. The paving company requires the apron to be fixed before they pour the asphalt. However, Nigel never showed up to the booked time and always push the date last minute. I tried to be nice so I agreed without a word, although every time I had to take a day off from work, also I had to reschedule with the paving. Another TWO WEEKS later, he finally came to do the apron repair and plumbing on Friday Morning Sept 9 because I can no longer reschedule the paving anymore and I need water in my house. He looked at the job and told me they had to go to ********* for the material. They never came back, didn't respond to my text or calls until later at night saying they'll do it tomorrow, again.....guess what, they didn't come the next day, and he sent me a text "just find another guy to do this job". I was in shock.....I almost begged in the text because I could find no one at this last moment. He texted back with a much higher price than we agreed on and said: this is the best I can do. Even though I agreed with the price, he never replied back. Basically, Nigel raised the price last minute and didn't want to do the job. So I took several days off for nothing, I have no water in my house for a week, I had to pay the paving company because I had to reschedule again last minute, I waited a month and got nothing done. At this point, I'm just speechless.

    Good Afternoon, thank you for sharing your experience. We are very disappointed to learn of your experience, as this is the first we are learning of this as it appears a great deal of the communication if not all were direct with Nigel and not Handyman Connection. Our records show a work order request was made on Aug 2, 2022, confirmed on August 4, 2022, site visit appointment was set on August 8, 2022 and the project was quoted on August 10, 2022. Work Order requested by the client. 1. Painting for two bedrooms. 2. Bathroom vanity replacement. 3. Countertop replacement. 4. Disposer installation (currently there is no power outlet under the sink.) 5. Deck staining. We have no record in our system of plumbing or a driveway apron request. The quotation we provided was to complete the projects within the scope of Nigel's abilities only and of Handyman Connection's interest. We asked for and verify a specific scope of work at the time of taking the work order request for the purpose of assigning a tradesperson who can manage that specific scope of work and nothing else. Unfortunately, no calls were placed to Handyman Connection after your initial work order request in August to share any of what you are sharing now in this complaint. One of the many benefits of dealing with Handyman Connection is we are able to assist with various issues that may occur during the process of getting work completed. We are disappointed you have had a poor experience with Handyman Connection and Nigel. Nigel strung you along, and for that, we are deeply sorry, but again we can't help if we don't know. We can only wish in late August or early September you had communicated directly with Handyman Connection, perhaps all of this could have been avoided. Thank you for sharing your experience. This will help us grow as a company, provide training and acquire positive and negative feedback about our tradespeople, allowing us to ensure all our customers have a good experience.

    And I did contact handy man connections through phone call right after this happened. I was told that they will start an investigation and follow up with me. I never heard back.
