I'm filing this complaint on behalf of my elderly parents. I called in this office before setting up the first appointment for my parents and told ******** *******, Audiologists, that we wanted the Starkey brand hearing aids, they will need 2.5 mm vent size to provide better sound quality as I know how hearing aids work in REALITY, not in theory, been wearing them for 44 years. ******** has NEVER worn hearing aids in her entire life. ********, worked my elderly parents hard, manipulated them to buy the ****** brand, they caved and did. ******** also gave my father the smallest and worthless vent size, and my mother a 1.6mm vent size. Their hearing aid sound quality sounds like they are swimming under water. ****. I (the daughter) slid on my ear molds on their trash ****** hearing aids and it fit into their ear canals perfectly, nothing sticking out. I (the daughter) then slid my ear mold back onto my Starkey hearing aid and put them in their ears so they can hear the better sound quality and both my parents were shocked at how clear and OPEN the sound was. My father's ear molds that go into his ear canal, (behind the ear hearing aids) don't even go in, they're fat/wide, they stick out of his ear canal. The receiver doesn't even slide in all the way down to the end of the ear mold, the electrical wire that supposed to placed behind the ear, goes over the ear because the receiver doesn't go down all the way. Also, ******** did not teach them how to change out the wax filters, nor did ******** give them the tools to change the wax filters, nor did she give them vent cleaner tool, to clean of wax buildup. Instead ******** told them to drive 1 hour, to their office when the filters and vent's fill up with wax. And this is how ******** sent them home, she should pay for the Starkey hearing aids that we first requested, the new ear molds, the 2.5 mm vents, the receiver vent to be wider so it slides to the end of
