      On Jan 14th I purchased a set of used Truck Rims from Rick. He told me they would fit my truck. These were purchased from Rick through facebook marketplace. His exact words to me where a Chevy Rim is a Chevy Rim. When my mechanic tried the rims with snow tires, they didn't fit over my brake calipers. I contacted Rick about returning the Rims and getting a refund, I was told "Sorry no refunds on Facebook Marketplace" . I explained thats why I bought the Rims through a business name like Ricky Ratchets. He told me not to contact him anymore. Very disappointed that a business can operate like this. I'm out some good money as well. Not happy

      This customer was told exactly what year the rims were from. He never disclosed what year his vehicle was. He said in writing that he was going to do a test fit with a rim before he purchased. He did not do that. He was told it was a 6 bolt wheel. We did offer to trade for another set of rims that may work for him, but he refused. You would think someone would test fit a rim before installing all the tires if you were putting an '06 product onto what turned out to be a 2020 model - especially with a dual piston over-sized caliper. The beauty of doing transactions using text is that you have a record of the conversation and how things transpired.

      Our family went in to trade our 2018 Hyundai Elantra for a vehicle that was bigger for my son that was being born in October.

      He had just the car we were looking for and at first, all seemed well.

      They were offering a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T for trade. We ended up trading the Elantra for 10k and the Dodge Journey with taxes came to about $9500, then insisted on us getting a warranty, which used rather ****** tactics on a 70 year old woman to get said warranty that only covered engine defects.

      We were not prepared for the months that followed..

      After 1 week we started hearing clicking near the heating vent system, and wouldn't stop until we turned the heating on....the A/C which was ADVERTISED TO BE WORKING , did not work at all.

      The left turn signal would flash extremely fast, the engine would start producing a smell going 60km/h or over, the check engine light would turn on at random, and 1 month after purchasing the vehicle after just using it to drive my kid to school and back again started grinding the brakes so heavy the calipers near broke completely off.

      After getting our FIRST OIL CHANGE after ***** said one was done, they went to check the dip stick, and it WAS BONE DRY.... indicating they never changed the oil when they sold us the vehicle and at most just put new oil over old oil.

      This costed us $200 to fix the amount of sludge build up in the car, to put proper oil in the vehicle and put a compound to prevent further damage.

      The brakes on the front completely fell apart from rotors and brakes , which costed us $520.00 to get replaced.

      WHEN WE BROUGHT THE CAR TO HIM BEFORE DOING ALL THIS, HE QUOTED $500 JUST TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEMS THAT WE ALREADY KNEW WHERE THERE. NOT INCLUDING PARTS OR ANY OTHER COST WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THIS OVER $1,500.

      We offered you a third party warranty and explained exactly what it covers and what it doesn't . We offer 30 days in house warranty and you had never contacted us for any issue until 60 days . When you did approach us 60 plus days later we showed you our standard labour rates and you went silly and acted oddly , not sticking around for or proposal to extend the 30 day warranty to a 50/50 split on items that are covered in our in house warranty . You traded an abused smashed up damaged car which in turn we paid you difference cash with the understanding that you had no a/c coverage and no electrical coverage .

      Please read your original contract where you signed for warranty or declined warranty. We are happy to review that with you in person if there is still a question. Just a note - a CarFax is a report produced by date, not mileage. The mileages included within the document are for the last reported odometer reading from a service station which has an interface with the CarFax database. The date relating to that would be found under service history in that document and is not reflective of the mileage on the date of purchase. CarFax is an independent company.
