On the above noted date two men from la Belle arrived at 10:20. Richard Labelle looked the carpet over and said it would cost $150.00 I asked about removing grout from my bathroom floor and he said it would now cost $200.00. No stains were removed from the carpet and the grout removal was a waste of time. They left at 11:30 I had to phone **** carpet cleaning to get the job done properly. He advised me that it would cost $125.00 for that around the job was completed properly he steamed cleaned the baseboards and even steam-cleaned the cushion on the sofa I phoned Labelle twice and asked them to return $100.00 of the $200.00 I gave them or I would contact the BBB -No response was ever received.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/04/20) */ We were at her apartment for 2hours, she had called and said the stains were not that bad and I quoted her the job. when we arrived their was a very strong urine smell and we offered the needed urine treatment and she agreed and agreed to the added cost. The stains and dried urine were from her dog( dog had passed away was told recently, a year ago and few years ago). Mould in the shower. We used hand tools as well as Bi-Directional cleaning, cleaning the areas multiple times we were unable to go 3 or 4 feet without changing the water because of all the chemicals that had already been used as well as the state of the area. grout was cracking as well as the tub was cleaned with hand tools (she was not charged for the tub). These area's were very unkept and they looked amazingly different perfect no but much better. We did show her us putting product on the stains and then them not coming up she was ok with this. And before we left she asked for a quote for cleaning the apartment, people who are not satisfied do not ask for another quote. The next day she called in what I can only describe as distressed state screaming yelling to the point I could not understand everything she was saying and finally using pyrophanites before hanging up. She said she called twice she never called back I have call logs showing that she only called the once. Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2022/05/03) */ The letter I received from the BBB regarding the above matter is full of lies. First of all they were not here for 2 hours. R. La Belle quoted me a cost of $150.00. The added cost of $50.00 was for cleaning the grout the day that they arrived so they had no way of knowing that I wanted the grout cleaned and did not bring hand tools with them for cleaning the grout. He is exaggerating about the condition of the apt and the cleanliness of the place. I'm not complaining about the cleaning of the grout. I'm complaining about the lousy job they did on the carpet. My dog made a couple of mistakes but nothing like what they are saying. Once you mention you had a dog they use this face and exaggerate about the stains and smell of urine. Upon receiving your rent letter I called the gentleman from **** *************** and he advised me that they did not have the proper equipment and that it did not take the manpower of 2 men to do this job. It is a very small area. *********** from **** *************** advised me that they did a lousy job and I feel that the smile on R. La Bell's face suggested that was the easiest $200.00 they ever made. Furthermore the products on the market today can easily get rid of stains from pets! Having said that there were only 2 spots where my dog made a mistake. Most of the stains were from Maintenance Man coming into the apt and not taking their big dirty boot off before they entered. Dirt can easily be removed and they did not remove them. **** *************** did a good job and went the extra mile by cleaning the baseboards and the cushions on the sofa for the amount of $125.00. Also, there was not any mould in the bathroom. ***************************************************************** *********************************************************** They are lying and exaggerating about everything. I'm a very reasonable person and feel that La Belle should return $100.00 fo the $200.00 I gave them for the lousy job they did. Once they return a $100.00, I will take down the notice I put up in the Laundry Room advising tenants not to do business with La Belle. As their work is dishonest and unsatisfactory.
