Would not recommend this company. Overcharged me for a spring repair and replaced parts that didnt need to be replaced. Replaced said parts with used parts from commercial doors on my residential door. Had to ask to have bill itemized to know what they did.Review from PETER B

My garage door would not open, I called them and they came even earlier than anticipated! They worked quickly to repair the problem. I found them both to be knowledgeable and professional . A great couple of guys- would not hesitate to recommend or use again!Review from Peter H

A torsion spring broke on my garage door last night. I called around this morning for quotes on the repair. 5 Stars Garage Door had a great quote and response time. They were onsite the same day and the repair was done in less than an hour.

Our recent experience with 5 Stars Garage Doors (https://www.5starsgaragedoors.ca/) was excellent. When a spring broke, they answered our call shortly after 7 AM on a weekday. They offered to install a new spring, but we opted to replace the garage door, which was old and outdated. They answered all our questions. The new door was installed the same week and looks and operates great. There was no extra charge for their initial visit. Won’t recommend them to anyone. Poor workmanship ! Hacked my 2*4 support beams. Don’t ever call them to do a job!! Knocks over my gas container and cleans up the gas with water, (I added baking soda after) leaves a mess, uses a chisel to cut out a hole rather than a sawzall. Looks like a beaver gnaw’d it ! Hacks the hell out of the other 2*4 unnecessarily. They left the extension cord hanging and the new motor plugged into that. Just overall terrible job. No I don’t want them to come fix it. I don’t want them touching anything I own. Period. So disappointed5 Stars Garage Doors Response

We informed the customer that due to clearance issues with their garage and to convert their old one piece door to a new sectional door we had to remove or notch some of the pieces for clearance issues as the door would not have fit. The customer was aware of this from the beginning, and for the motor to have proper passage we needed to notch the wood in order for the opener to fit. In terms of an extension cord, the customer didn't have power to plug to their garage door motor and that's their responsibility as we're not licensed electricians to wire a plug, not that it was ever talked about to begin with. Overall we apologize that the customer feels this way as we conduct our work with honesty and professionalism.
