Just wanted to thank Tara at platinum air care, I received a phone call from her letting me know that they were in the area, she sent Millad out for a FREE ventilation inspection. Kim called when he was close to arriving, she was so pleasant! I am so very thankful for this call, the amount of dirt that was built up was absolutely unbelievable! I booked in to have my ducts cleaned, platinum air care sent out Mark, and I was informed at how awful my dryer vent was backed up with lint and such. Such a giant fire risk that I had no clue about! This person did not use our services nor did they pay for anything. This review is based on a single phone call from our company and is unjustified. All individuals who we contact can be placed on our guaranteed do-not-call list by opting in and providing their phone numbers.Review from Richard A

They showed up at my house and asked to do a free inspection. They did the job as I did not realize how much it was going to be. Then sold me a purifier which was supposed to have free maintenance and forgot to tell me that the filter was over $300.00. Of course when I called them they told me that I was told when they brought it in the house. How can someone in London tell me what the guy said and she was not even here. **** ****** ** *** *** **** ******* *** *** *** **** ** ******. Would never use them again and advise everyone I know if they show up at your door, tell them you are not interested. We deny all words stated by Mr. A*******, and must be clear with his two points: 1. Regarding the filter change, this cost is for a highly condensed medical-grade filter complied with a pre-filter, medical-grade HEPA filter, and ultra-violet light (UV-C) lamp and chamber inside. We offered a free first filter as well. 2. Regarding the duct cleaning, our team performed quality duct cleaning as standard with photos of clean vents after the job had been completed. It must be noted that Mr. A******* refused entrs y to one room- which would have been necessary to complete the full duct cleaning service. Regardless he was offered a free re-clean to ensure his home was properly taken care of given his complaints to which he REFUSED. To summarize, we were unable to make Mr. A******* happy ahe was not open to any solutions and preferred to be rude to us over the phone rather than addressing the situation.Review from James V

Platinum Air Care called my elder mother and said they would be there at 3 pm to conduct an inspection of her ventilation system that was required. (suggesting that it was a law?). My family has never done business with this company. Thank God she ********* ** *** * **** *** called me. I called them back and asked why they had called. The lady stated it was just there marketing team and they are offering a free estimate. They immediately stated they would put her on the do not call list. After reading the other reviews, there seems to be a pattern here of targeting our elderly population.Platinum Air Care Response

Laticha of Platinum Air Care phoned today at 3:15 to say that their company inspector was in the area to provide an inspection of the air ducts of our furnace system and related air quality as per the furnace manufacturer's request. Platinum would provide necessary feedback to the manufacturer of the furnace. Because of Covid delays, she said we had likely been missed in the regular inspections of furnaces in the area. At no point was I informed that her call was promoting duct cleaning services and sales pitches for air purifiers to reduce pollution levels. Millad arrived less than an hour later, provided a cursory look at our furnace, took two pictures of our furnace's cold air return and pointed out minor plaster dust accumulations from the construction fifteen years ago. He then produced a meter with virtually no battery life and recorded our air pollution level at "30" whatever that meant (normal is 28 and below) and a formaldehyde level of .140 which apparently is higher than the accepted maximum of .08. I asked if he would be reporting the results to the furnace manufacturer and he said "no," I realized then that this was a sales pitch and when I said that I wasn't interested, he said that he was authorized to offer a 25% discount on the ******** purifier and the duct cleaning. The usual charge for those services and equipment was $3998 but he would reduce that to $2998. I thanked him, said we were not interested and he left the house. I resent the misleading presentation from Laticha and the fact that Millad entered the house under false pretenses. In reading other people's complaints to BBB about Platinum Air Care, numerous others have been misled in the same way, some having also been convinced to make purchases. * ***** **** *** ** ******** ******** *** **** *** *** ********** ********* *** *********** *********** *** ******* ** ** ** ********** ********* They may provide a useful service for some people but their deception angered me.Review from PETER M

Why is an HVAC company out of London, Ontario calling our number randomly and pressuring us to do business with them? We made it clear that we have a company in our town that we’ve dealt with for years and still the caller insisted we make an appointment for a free inspection. We do not appreciate unsolicited business of any kind and refuse to deal with these companies!Review from Ingrid G
